New Kings
Constantly rushing through life
Missing out on which matters
Never admiring sunsets
Cellphones became gods!

Jokes101 Recycled: March 26 In South Africa
TIME issues:
1. Whenever I am short on time, I eat my watch, and always have seconds to spare.

2. Why do I still buy old clocks and collectible watches in a cellphone age? I love keeping time....

Who Did It
Many children asked for funny stories before bed time.
  We did it.
More children love to hear praises than excuses.
  We did it.
More and more children demand for rewards
  than punishment. We did it.
Most children want cellphones than parents...
  Who did it?...

Dented Aluminum
Dented Aluminum

once, kick the can was a lovely
game to play, but not nowadays

as shiny cellphones and prized
handheld games govern the day,

what a heavy price we will pay,
dented aluminum decays away

our alumni cry out their tired eyes
as hourly the ozone melts, always

Blank stares and yawns
They’re so blasé
In their own private world
Nobody listens today
They don’t even pretend
It's all black or white nothing's grey
iPads and cellphones
What could she possibly have to say
She’s just part of the furniture
Old discarded and passé

Premium Member Cellphone the Extra Appendage
Cellphones attached to hands,
Just an extra appendage, no big deal.
Put down rarely,
Picked up at first peep.

Instant news.
Instant text.
Instant everything.
Instant anger.
Instant nasty reply.

Cellphones, more interesting than people.
Everyone sitting around, looking at their appendages.
I-phones, their new best friends.
Eliminates lonely feelings
And spontaneous conversations with strangers....

Prayer meeting for the departed one finds family praying in silent grief, whilst others shed crocodile tears as dole, marking time with their cellphones for relief, cold hearts, unable to turn a new leaf, searching familiar faces to connect, their insincere condolences thus suspect, crass gesture that happens time and again; high time from our life, such ‘friends’ we eject, for they alleviate not, our deep pain. 16-October-2021

Premium Member Catching Our Dog on The Computer
Good thing we came home early with our cellphones.
Buddy had already ordered two truckloads of bones.
We took pictures to prove on social media how smart he is.
He ordered some weird dog food too called Puppy Wizz.

His comrade in crime, Sophie, was supposed to be the look out.
She was sound asleep on the couch; in the way of our route.
She had slowed us down, giving Buddy time to turn off the computer.
He had also called the vet and cancelled his appointment to neuter....

When texting was just starting out, my friend texted LOL to me.
Little ornery lunatic?
Lovely ordinary laugh?
Luxuriously outstanding lady?
Lobe-oriented log-splitter?
Land over Lithuania?

Lime Orange Lion-berries?
I texted back “what is LOL?”
But she had shut her phone off
For the night.

I texted three more friends,
But their phones had also
Been shut off.

This was before people started
carrying their cellphones all
day long, looking at them
constantly you see.

LOL...
