Ooooh! Way to plunge the dagger in deep---exactly where it belongs. Keep it there too, until and unless the current generation mends its rude ways. Well-struck, Line! Holiday Happiness! ~ Gershon

Your striking poem richly expresses the sad truth of old age and loneliness so eloquently, Line. A thought provoking and meaningful piece. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

I feel it is so rude, especially when you are out at a restaurant and you ignore your companion to chat on the phone. The cell needs to come with etiquette lessons! I liked your poem a lot Line. Happy Holidays! : ) xxoo

We have parents whom teachers need to talk to, who walk in and out of the building like this, motioning to their phones, shaking their heads 'no', who do not want to hear about their children. It is such an inane way to spend time.

Oh, Line, yes this is so true and so sad. I was walking close to coworker going in same direction and that stupid phone was glued to her ear. Let’s not chat!

I wonder if the pendulum will ever swing back to the days when people liked to talk to each other. Thanks for your visit and comment, Kim.
