Stimulus and Bills

My stimulus paid half the bills
It came from Capitol hill
I said, one more please
They were just a tease
Fighting to pass it, gave me a chill

What
Was it
That this
World
Was wanton
No more
War
They scream
On capitol
Hills
And in
The common
In Washington
Praying
This time
That those
Motions
Will pass

The humid air presages rain
in my mind Sweet Georgia plays
yet a rebel flag briefly waved over Capitol Hill.
Together we strive for better days
but inside lies a bittersweet pain.

Gleaming Capitol

Gleaming Capitol.
Alabaster stones shining bright.
Peoples history and hope.

Dark place of power.
Filled up with greed, lust and lies,
Destroyers of liberty.

The Ill of Capitol Hill

If you think what happened was too bad,
Imagine, had he been elected...

consider carefully, circus clowns cheat.
Chico chipped Carson City's carved concrete
clumsily chiseling cheap cardboard containers.
Charlatans can calm capitol complainers
confounding Congressional campaigners.

The democrat’s in quite a fight -
an umbrella could not end plight.
     The needles are fine,
     so rabies won’t shine.
It’s capital when a fox serves a bite.

On April 5th Representative Ami Bera was bitten by a fox
on the way to the Capital for votes.

Untitled #87 / Outside the Capitol

Outside the Capitol
a young veteran is carrying
a flag, upside-down
and a wheeled coffin containing his friend
harsh words are tossed, and a Patriot
sneaks behind, robbing the deceased of his
combat boots. Fly off!
Ah, but quicker feet! Tackled from behind!
Punches thrown! A fight!
Who is winning?

Birds At the Capitol Hill

Birds on Capitol Hill
July 2010
Shoshana Vegh

Birds on Capitol Hill
Range from arid and dry grass
Sirens security forces
 Fourth of July tomorrow
 And converge for birthday
Moving from north to south wind
 East to west
Do not hear the earthquake
Do not cry bitterly
Right in own way

 Just want to fly.

Nonsense

This daily dew danish blue doggy poo
Is in relation to a giant kangaroo
Which traveled to the capitol of Peru
To try the turkey stew
But the beef fondue gave it a purplish blue stomach flu
It tried to renew tried to review
When it sailed through the thick shampoo
It fell into a field of glue and ran into a bomber crew

Violence on the United States Capitol January 6, 2021 History has taken a turn without silence. Morality disappeared showing violence. How do we explain to our children the evidence That our leader stirred the bad from the bad? They all need to be accountable and sentenced For the consequence. 1/10/201212

Capitol Freedom

The dome rises above D.C.
tonight,
shining in its free liberty reign,
Columns of ivory,
lift the justice towards the
heavens,
above the country,
into the flag,
And as the city flickers in a silver
mist,
a steady glow can be seen from the
hill,
a nation so bright in its glory,
so strong in its pride,
We the people,
America,
sleep in her life.
