golden winged seer christen love
turtle doves crave gilding speer
searing tip unleash caged heat
melting bleating hearts
If you give away the key to your heart you'll never get out of the cage.
Instead keep the key and set your own heart free.
Beaten and scarred
Walking gingerly outside
Upon his release,
Jumping away from the warmth
Unknowns scare us all the most
bird trapped in a cage,
tough singing, chanting, chirping...
pain never ceases...
clouds alight
dew beads on wet leaves
feels like love...
sleeping buds
blossom their unfolded wings
a caged skylark trills.
Confined to a cage,
with a wisk in his wings,
he wanted to break free;
he squeezed his body through rods:
into the spring sky he flew.
earth life tests again and again
ego identification cause of pain
whenever our guard drops, we suffer
soul as yet wears delusion’s chain
Free denizen of the sky,
The songbird is now in cage,
Flapping its tired wings in vain.
Yet the caged bird sings!
STRIPPED DOWN
BARE
CUT TO THE QUICK
MY HEART
FRAGILE AND SINEWY
MY BRITTLE BONES
ACHE
STIFF AND HOLLOW
A BUTTERFLY CAUGHT
PINNED INSIDE THE GLASS.
Ode to Maya Angelou
My mind often may be engaged;
When I found out it was caged,
Time devote;
Poems wrote;
I became furious and enraged.
Jim Horn
I shall never fear deaths awful sword,
as long as I walk upon this earth, for
I'm like a caged bird to life's pains, hoping
one day the lord will set me free.
Dark when day
These feelings convey
Locked an encaged
Lost and afraid
Creatures of the night
Are in our minds sight
When feelings relayed
We are locked away
The bird’s voice still sounds charming,
Though caged, it never stops dreaming.
As human language it once understood,
It has lost freedom of living in the wood.
(Tran.)
I am captive
yet I am free
just a caged bird
wanting to fly

my soul is like a c a g ed animal yearning to break free....
Embedded in the snare of self-sacrifice
twisting and snarling only able to bleed.
caged emotions
captured long ago
could never unlock
the latch to the door
that lead to freedom
from this emotional
restriction that had been
placed upon the heart from
the start
She’s a caged bird waiting to be set free
to feel the breeze under her wings
Don’t worry, she’ll be back
she knows you love her and you want her to stay
But a golden cage is still a cage
caged and boxed
smacked into a smallish space
Confined
I am a lion
roaring loudly and clearly
In mindfulness
Praising family
for their non-interest
caged and boxed
Living full me-ness
caged birds can sing not
unhappiness, No songs bring
dream of their freedom.

thoughts cannot be caged
even from behind closed walls
they can touch the wind

I am like a caged bird
who doesn't ever get tired
to find the way to fly
in the lovely blue sky.
I will fly, float and run
in the deep blue ocean.
I will sing when I roam;
Then I will come back home.
(Chuckie Egg)
I was in love with the position of the bird,
With its location, was situated on the left,
Because it was the reason for the game yard,
And it caught your eye first, was not bereft.
I'm free, no longer caged for man's amusement. Flying free in the open skies until my nest
calls me home again, then I will go back, to where I belong. To begin a family and never
again go back to the cage.
Form:
Confined within the rusty iron bars to hop and trip
Wishing to fly aloft into Heaven's seamless starry heights
A bird beats her wings in vain but trilling in sweet sad notes!
Old owl and his cage, and he pounds against glass.
Old geezer drops teeth at the sound, falls on a$$.
A snicker and boo.
The man runs for loo.
Old man full of crap - he does more than pass gas.
