my soul is like a c a g ed animal yearning to break free.... Embedded in the snare of self-sacrifice twisting and snarling only able to bleed.

A caged bird, denied freedom longs for the sky. When it beats its wings again and again, it bleeds. Twisting and snarling express the intensity of frustration when freedom is denied. Powerful short poem, dear Jama. All the Best!

Dear Sara, The image of a caged animal yearning to break free it’s so raw and truthful. It touched me on a level that feels both painful and beautiful. I can almost feel the tension of that snare, the way it twists and constrains, yet there’s a flicker of something more beyond it. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
