When you try to
Cage a bird that has
Been free to fly anywhere
In the world you're
Going to have a
Serious problem
bird trapped in a cage,
tough singing, chanting, chirping...
pain never ceases...
When the old fellow died,
the cage opened wide,
and a very rich chick
Madov mighty quick.
Moral strictures aren't always a guide.
John Cage 'wrote' the symphony 4:33
with notes none could see
From the orchestra no sound is found
the'music' being 'noise ' randomly found
A little girl hung in Trump's cage
Was crying to smother her rage
Her face was so sad
Trump tweeted her dad
She'd stay there 'til she came of age!
I feel like...A rat in a cage,
And, I rarely act my age.
But, I just want to escape this cage
Of rage.
I want to turn to a new page.
Moonlight graces our little place,
We mere actors leave the stage.
The sun stops shining,
the lights go out,
and like mice, we sleep in our world, our cage.
Gilded cage feeding the illusion.
Crowned princess story but at what cost.
Happiness not in the equation.

Open sky beyond hospital window
Feeling the austerity of that glass pane
Emancipation on the other side

To the cage crocodiles, with all might,
Someone threw a big piece dynamite
Only thunder was die
Children's joyful cry:-
" Look! Reptiles can fly! Am I right?"
Award-winning actor Nicholas Cage -
“Cappola” he was born with. “Cage” is for stage!
He made a quest to find the Holy Grail.
No news of that; it must have been a fail.
The bird’s voice still sounds charming,
Though caged, it never stops dreaming.
As human language it once understood,
It has lost freedom of living in the wood.

Cage Can Be Confining
To the fact myself I am resigning;
Any cage can be quite confining;
Quiet am told,
And even cold;
Each moment in it was a defining.
James Horn
That conniving bird Tweety Pie
Hoodwinked me and told me a lie
Said I’d take centre stage
If I crept in his cage
Imprisoned, I’m here till I die!
Men were made in God’s immortal image
But were lured into serpent’s cruel cage;
Christ bought redemption
From eternal damnation,
For the sinner who wants to be a sage.

But were lured into serpent’s cruel cage;
Christ bought redemption
From eternal damnation,
For the sinner who wants to be a sage.
Xenophobes don't approve of strangers.
They dramatize fearing what they don't know.
Prefer cages to overcoming phobias.

I’m a bird in a cage, but the cage is my head,
On a walk in the park, but I’m running instead,
The bookshelf is haunted, my reflection is too,
Squeaks and whimpers out in the blue
Four little parakeets
sitting in a cage.
Mister black cat wants to catch them
to this he is engaged!
But to person, cat and birds
whom to be enraged?
'Bite Size Poem no.47' Contest
The cunning cat got himself in a flap
He had foolishly fallen for the trap
The cat’s now contained
The bird is unchained
Tweeting, "Feast on that you ferocious chap."
The house cat unlatched the cage door;
Squeezed in to then find he's done for.
A quick turn-about
Canary flew out!
Cat's stuck, and bird's free to explore!
releasing you
to the winds that bind us
~ myself now freed

How I yearned to ope the cage
let my opinions fly
But my parents wisely kept it locked
stowed away the key
Knowing what would happen
if I ever spoke my mind
UH-OH—SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG!
SO NOW I'M SUPPOSED TO BURST INTO SONG?
I'LL TEACH THAT BIRD A NOTE
JUST LET ME AT HIS THROAT
THEN I'LL SING DINNER MUSIC ALL DAY LONG!
I can no longer, escape.
I am caged, in my mind.
A slave. To my own, thoughts.
And try as I might. I am trapped.
A songbird, that longs,
To be free
But is trapped
In a cage
Of its own
Design.
