Middletown
Soft hills kneeling
to worship the mountains
Bells tolling the hour
Log cabins hidden,
layered with asphalt tile,
Cows on every acre
A church on every corner.
Ancient farms hold secrets:
history buried in earth.
Middletown....

I met with a group who were passionately against deforestation,
who held their meetings at one of their member's log cabins,
and the rest of the members all lived in wooden housing.
People tend to not practice what they claim to believe in....

What a place 2 be
So beautiful so majestic are thee
Flowers bloom in the meadows
Harvesters in the fields
Cows mooing in the pasture
As the sun shines over the hills

Country roads that lead to no where
Lil log cabins sitting there
Fog a dew cover the night air
Like a thin blanket hung up there...

Angels Song
Songs of death,
foaming at the mouth,
that speaketh empty,
thoughts poored from the mind.

Crawling from numbness,
from controling destinys,
intertwining whispers,
inside the angels fallen song.

The notes bouncing,
echoing as screams,
vibrating the cabins,
thats home to all secrets....

Close your eyes and imagine with me
Camps, cottages, cabins and trees
High in the mountains or beside rolling seas
Perhaps it’s chateaus and castles you see
Maybe cathedrals grand as they can be
It’s little white churches that I see
Comforting contentment I’m contemplating as we
Consider the many constructs of C...

As Time Passes

Today a swift breath
of wind slapped my cheeks
leaving a tingling chill.

The sky’s face grew gloomy
shedding crocodile tears
falling like water rocks.

Dormant by passing time
flower buds and seeds
sought storage shelters
in terrestrial cabins.

Powerless
we sit by the window
contemplating the new arrival....

Conversations
Cabins and trees ring the lake
early reflections on the face of the lake.

Breezes stir conversations
as cabins and trees ring the lake.

A breath of fresh air awakens
cabins and trees ringing the lake.

Nature’s brush strokes paint the morning
cabins and trees that ring the lake.

A narrow road gives great visions-
cabins and trees ring the lake....

Camping Grounds
Here lay the cabins, neatly lined in a row. Here lies the forest, surrounding us head to toe as we roast marshmallows and giggle as we eat smores, telling old horror stories passed down from generation to generation. The camp bells blare early in the morning all around the camp grounds signaling us off into the lake, the lake, the lake, the lake. Sounding us off into the dazzling lake....

It's the Twenty Fourth of May
It’s the twenty fourth of May
And we want to get away,
But Covid and our governments
Say we’d better stay away
From up at our cabins and stay
Bored at home each day.

So, we’ll stay at home and play
Board games…drink our ice cold beers
And give the Moose and big black bears
Free reign on our cabins for
This year and who knows …maybe next…
And how many more?

Time Is Nothing
In dank and dusty basements,
where people die alone,
and ancient cairns by weathered hands
were built with rock and stone,
in cabins long abandoned,
corners pile with leaves windblown,
on battlefields resounding as the
bullet strikes the bone,
when more than one has, indeed,
o're the cuckold's nest flown,
we realize that time is nothing
and nothing's ever known.

Mind has
its own cabins,
where we can find
love, hate, anger,
happiness and
much more.

All emotions
can't fit in one,
they are complex,
and tend to have,
their own cabins,
where they thrive.

It is up to you
how many good
and bad cabins,
you want your
mind to allocate
and handle.

Clean the cabins
with negativity,
put away the burden,
and keep them
for things that
matter you most....

White dots on the hat
                                  Small cabins where fairies live
                                           Fairytale symbol
                                        In mysterious forests

                                 Past truths - become poisonous

Home For a Heart
My journey began
I fled faraway
Away from friends
And into a place

It was nature's own
Where i could think
When i am grown
I will paint

The cabins were brown
Just like mama said
I'm standing around
The magnificent flower beds

Inside i was so warm
It smelled so sweet
A small breeze caressing my arm
Every room was neat

A place i can rest
And where i can breath
Clean air through my chest
With nature's breeze...

Premium Member A Long Winter's Night
tucked away in the rolling hills
a cabin became a snowy resort
piles of fresh snow as light as clouds
hugged the cabins foundation

inside everyone was snug
beneath twill blankets
and feather filled pillows

the fire popped with joy
in the fireplace beneath a
shrine of family pictures

the family dog curled up
on a brown bear skin rug
a family heirloom handed down

all was peaceful
on this long winter's night
in the middle of now where
no cares in the world...

Freeze Frame
A molt of starlight on new snow
white slough over black drenched fields.

A window captures it all as a freeze-frame.
Glass reflects and takes my picture
through an eyeless lens.

Behind me, a log fire cracks and chirps
in the language of firebirds.
The room chirrs warmly like a fiddle in a ghost camp.
The cabins foundations are structured hollows.
it breaths through its long bones.

I turn to look at where I live, see only the past looking back,
I dwell within a camera....

Symbolism
they harvested by darkness
tractors carving through the night
up and down the plantation
guided by the infra red light
and the pilots in their cabins
hidden way down deep inside
watched through the video screens
to control their night long ride

the operation ceased at day break
in case of enemy attack
and the machines converted
pulled cutters in and back
for the armour to be deployed
and in just a few moments there
they’d made an attack weapon
from their mobile ploughshare...
