Missing Out
Head bowed,
Face down,
Man walked
Intrigued
By his
Cel phone
As the
True world
Bypassed
His mind:
He loves
That screen,
More than
Beauty....

Not the time for my diminish,
As this isn't the right time.

Via Grace
A man sought advice for his pains that persist.
Was told to see Gracie the cute pharmacist;
Built up so much his ego
He bypassed John’s gazebo,
Cured by the blue pill for his flacciditis.

Embracing Your Fear
I’ve always been good at making an entrance
never choosing to stay
I’ve always been good at passing through
most often forgetting the day
I bypassed adulthood, becoming a child
as your legions mocked and jeered
And answered those voices calling out of the wild
—embracing everything you fear
(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2015)...

It's High Time It Ceased
Hydra-headed monster, corruption
The master of our nation
In our face and all facets
Our progress' pace, it dictates.
Now it's normal, by christening
Made formal by rebranding
Existing laws are bypassed
News ones? Not needed!
Clerics, step up your say
Teachers, justify your meagre pay
At home, young minds must be disabused
This game, it's high time it ceased!...

My Foolish Heart
My foolish heart has stuttered out of whack
And trailed off a regular beating track.
With smoking it did not align,
With drinking it did not comply,
Got sick of those and had a heart attack.
The surgeon triple bypassed it alright,
Unblocked the pipes and sewed it nice and tight.
With meds and zest for life combined
Smoking and booze it doesn’t mind,
My foolish heart tick tocks with renewed might.
