My Foolish Heart

My foolish heart has stuttered out of whack And trailed off a regular beating track. With smoking it did not align, With drinking it did not comply, Got sick of those and had a heart attack. The surgeon triple bypassed it alright, Unblocked the pipes and sewed it nice and tight. With meds and zest for life combined Smoking and booze it doesn’t mind, My foolish heart tick tocks with renewed might. February 10, 2021

Love the humor on such a serious subject. A heart attack is a warning sign to change your lifestyle or else. Great write. Hugs

Think twice before taking a puff, Know when you have drunk quite enough. Look after oneself, Enjoy your good health, Remember this when life gets tough... Belle

Cardiac arrest is the most frightening experience anyone can have. You have poetically described it well here with good rhyming.

Thanks. That one supposed to be humorous. My husband had one years ago and gave me a green light to post it, but I asked first :) M.
