portholes
round by design
in sides of ships and planes
encircle scenes of sky and sea
plugged snug
apple blossom clouds -
spring’s fragrant snow, fall’s gold but
no seed births home tree

a lot of ratatat when you hammer
but ill-fated by design
you nail the buffeting clamour
but slow news filler not main headline
"... and the lines all rhyme..."

is by Design.
"... how many days are in a week..."
Fourteen
Two... Sun days.
As you see we have no Febreze
Butt cover your smell if you please
Just spritz three or four times
Then release by design
and the next person won't say "Jeeze!"
Time slips away
Use it wisely
Set lofty goals
Reach for your dreams
Live your best life
There's no second chance
So get it right !

Moments shared.
Flawed by design.
Now just memories.
Scattered across time.
Fleeting recalls.
Renewed disdain.
Karma aborted love.
For our past due pain.
Four-lined Stanzas - my Quatrains by design.
Interwoven A-B-A-B- the rhymes.
Ten syllabically are read per line.
Written -- nature, sullen, and benign times.
Put it where you think they'll be fine-
A place where the sun doesn't shine.
Dark and moist, for a start
So roots feed to their heart--
Devil's Ivy thrives by design!

photography is an obsession of mine
love taking snaps by design
the capturing of moments that align
my passion for chasing sunshine
and seeing how its beauty imitates the divine

My glory each of my days will shine.
I'm lovely in and out by design.
Mirrors only reflect my beauty.
But being good, my innate duty.
Milk of kindness flows from me always.
While deep in hearts my real love stays.
Down dusty lanes we quietly stroll
Fallen' leaves , red and brown decorate the ground
memories covered with smoke and haze
fill simpler days of choices made
coming close to playful pursuit
death by design leads to life in the twilight
His only painting still to remain
Queen Quenevere of Round Table fame-
For William's talents were by design
Beaux arts,furniture,all things fine
Fabrics,stained glass divine.
William Morris(1834-1896)-a founder of the Arts& Crafts movement in Uk
Silently he moves,
secretive by nature,
cautious by design,
startled by sudden movement,
dashes to safety,
watchful in his burrow,
tricked by skeletal shadows
of overgrown grass,
hunger pangs his insides,
ignored,
greater his will to survive.
A touch too close and a gaze too sincere,
Was the Jenga player about to pull an upset loss?
Faulty by design, promise and execution
Does a good love need time to catch its breath?
Or does it weave long exhales into conversational counterparts?
Eclipsed by design,
husky mist enclosed.
It’s quiet in here,
far far too quiet.
Every star silenced.
Why are we here?
Why open doors?
Do the curtains
provide riches?
Attraction,
aggression,
will entice.
Tugging
stiffly
‘Come.’
What is this thing called life?
Just a brief flash in time?
A rising dawn and then it's gone
With no more hills to climb
What does my heart believe?
Do I still have a chance?
Maybe I'll find here by design
Or just mere happenstance
In a Winter's Loft; Complete,
with Midnight Eyes.
Maturing Curiosity,
Echoing with Laughter;
Sparkling, by Design.
Scintillating Whispers,
Fruitful, and Confident.
Longing to be Understood.
Eagerly Anticipating the Last Page.
Always Wanting More.
Death breaks heart
People live
Life goes on.
Waste of youth
Waste of time
Waste of life.
Scratch to staff
Rugs to riches
Fate by design.
Whatever cost
Hope and dreams
Aspire excellence.
Need no permission
No laws require
For love, joy and peace.
The Veil
On decrepit pathways hobbling
Life soul and world a wash of grayscale
Dark wings in shadows sing
By design the spirit to impale
An artist’s palette of black and white
Bright hues in daylight pale
Adrift in oceans of ravens night
Accursed walk beyond the veil
Stephen Allen.
The eyes do have it
Seeing into the great depths
Feelings of vastness
Wonderful eyes shine through me
A platitude of desire
By design there’s love
Open hearted peace of heart
Shown upon my eyes
A wild show being as made
Timeless lives flow on inside
Russell Sivey
I can see on your lips
you have clumps of earth
from rubbish golfers
and the fact you celebrate dawn
as a thing that happens by design
only adds to your concoction
just go over and tell them
what you think of their ineptness
so we can leave and find other
reasons for your lips
One tear slides down a slanted cheek
A silver line, the only sign
Of anguish which she does not speak
Insistent smiles, bright by design
Thin fortitude, her whitewashed shrine
Gilded answers rain, lily meek
She lies and says that she is fine
When truth is too fearsome to seek
