dangled spangles

a lot of ratatat when you hammer
but ill-fated by design
you nail the buffeting clamour
but slow news filler not main headline

Thank you Angela - I threw myself into the idea of alternative jelly against the wall ideas lol. Thanks for the kind words :)

I had the most fun with creating the unusual expressions - the form was so tricky that it tied me in knots though :) thanks for picking out a favourite line - makes the effort seem worth expanding :)

Complex, I enjoy it! I made my attempt at a grook but it failed. Pretty difficult form.

Thanks Florence - they are tricky! I laboured so much over the last line. Think this will be my one and only grook - glad you enjoyed it :)

Slow news day? Keep em guessing, LG. I’d prefer reading much ado about nothing then the gibberish that oozes from T-rump. Sick of all the negative headlines. I don’t write grooks anymore.

Just navigating airports - there are a lot of things written that can affect us but think I'm of the mind just to tune out now. Thanks for your comment

This one is certainly a little puzzling LG, I’m guessing a nagging jealousy is trying to hammer away, but it doesn’t guarantee any breakthrough, hence it/they will just remain a mere background noise, beautifully written and expressed, pretty deep too! Cheers David

Haha I let myself muse on the nailing jelly to the wall idea and got the word ratatat (hmm I might add an extra tat..) who thought jelly/jealousy would have sound effects! Thank you for stopping by to comment - the grook is a tricky form but attempting it resulted in something interesting at least :)

Thanks Jan :) I need to review the rules as I'm not sure this is fully compliant aphorism wise - glad you liked it :)
