I Share the Dream

My dreams are similar to yours Dr.King.
In these reveries I see but one irrefutable idea.
The road to peace begins with brotherly love.

Love and Our World

Like Egypt without Nile,
like Holland without dyke,
like army without ammo,
like birds without wings,
is our world bereft of
brotherly love.

Brotherly Love

Biden went to the Middle East
For a cous-cous sheep-eyeball feast
Relations were strained
Raisi explained,
"That Red button summons a priest"

No greater thing did our Lord ask,
than that we should love each other.
To not think too highly of ourselves,
but that we should edify our brother.

Do Not Allow Them Near You

Do not allow them near you
the poor whom you do not revere
better build your mansions in forests
let trees be your brotherly neighbors
because none will ask for charity

War, As I See It

Pride, exalting man
Way, way above
Feigns no such relationship with
Brotherly love
Whose lookout, through him
Defends in fear
But sets off this bad reaction:
Hell's truth makes clear.

Premium Member Narob Found His Brother

Narob had not seen his brother in years
found him on the savanna
immediately fell into a brotherly hug
glad beyond belief
his search finally over
they both sighed deeply
two happy lion cubs

Bye Bye, Baby

As this poem was being written,
A small boy appeared to be smitten.
He loved his baby brother,
But then he asked his mother,
‘Please can we swap him for a kitten?’

My teeth they are bright and the dentist glum.
No wonder he perks up at brother’s thumb.
Oh my it is wet.
Poor brother, the threat —
Quit sucking or dentist will brace your gums!

It's a picture of Lucas and me.

We're cuties you have to agree.

     The love that we share

     with our Mom "Randa Bear",

is in the smile on my face that you see.

What flies though the air up above
Disguised as a peace seeking dove
For those who've not heard
Drones can send you the bird
From the land of brotherly love

Author's note: Is this really how to win friends and influence people (for the long term)?

Enmity

Though belonging to the same species
Hostile is their lives together
Complacent with their distant spy
Aloof from brotherly success

Less can cats and mice beat the race-
Of animus and detestation
Yet! The fish doth thirst to wallow
Even if be for a short time

Brotherly Love

Brothers shall be loved
I am my brothers keeper
the love of brothers is real.
God loves the brothers,
as well as all people.
Life of love
brings brothers together.
Togetherness is
authority of love
as life is toword the
love of brotherly bliss

Mid 60's brother's band
I am a gloved "scab" on bongos and
helter skelter on county fair drums
They play their backyard hearts out
my summer of learning all instruments
Music, playing parties of various venues
two lifelong brotherly loves.
Thanks Denny.

Spiritual fruits upon a tree
Ripened,ready for all to see;
Sincere,gentle inwardly kind
Set at one,in a peace-filled mind;
Temperate,diligent and pure
Understanding& perseverance will nurture;
Brotherly love and hope will ensure
An orchard in bloom until mature.

"1943"

This is a story briefly told
By gunshots flying in the air
By ties of blood -
And ties of love
And times of deep
Insane despair.

This is a story briefly told
One you will never understand
Of bonds of true
Brotherly love
Unbroken in
Times of despair.
