Chopped Up Wood
Chopped up wood inside the forest,
Breaking away,
Logs of dead wood,
Inside my heart,
I’m sad that they’re dead,
But I’m happy that the live ones,
Are live!...

Syncing
SYNCING

We had each others back
Syncing around in circles
Sometimes breaking away
To be swooped up to another sphere
Completing the thought
Moving beyond the edge
To be included once more...

In Sessions With Jasper - Part 1
Back where it all started this life
There were a lot of bright colours
Deciding to take our time upon this
Poe; to do a Michelangelo: jasper's muse
As I'm going a bit too fast ? We'll turn it into a love fest....
Breaking away from vertigoville; mania valley's terse twister, thrills....

Premium Member Feel Good
Shaking on pins and needles,
awake can’t sleep , no time to waste;
Breaking away from everything
take a bite, savor the taste;

Running on that ‘feel good’
fun, adventure, it begins with a hunch;
One minute two, a smile starts to creep;
Undone, the buzz devoured in a crunch....

Simply Me
I'm a strong black man.

With my strong two feet I stand.

With the bible as
my soul release.

with guidance and wisdom
as a gate way to freedom.

with knowlege as the key
to breaking away from adversity,

I come to find me

i was blind by vanity
but now i see humility.

by my black heritage which
would be a royal decree i

declear me to be simply me...

Premium Member Rewritten
I measured my words carefully
Sweet verses I wanted you to drink
To help you escape your misery
A new beginning awash in pink
Tears in your eyes, I watched you blink

A slight smile a knowing look
I witnessed how your shoulders shook
Your sadness was breaking away
Rewritten pages in your book
Colored words a brand new day

Inspired by Dr. Ram Mehta to try a new form....

Thank You, Satan.
Do you know the words that slur from your lips?
It’s like Satan is attached to your hip,
Gnawing at your fragile soul,
Breaking away all the bonds you hold.

They called you deranged,
They say you're a new man,
You just hide your flaws better than the next messed up man.

So, I'll sew my lips shut with barbed wire
And carve my plea in stone,
I’ve signed the contract
In return for your soul....

Setting Sail Beyound Her Shores
If verse could be fragmented unto reasons; these seasons..
Faith speaks of parables; not always understood ? Twas a time
Screams seemed their Psychedelic Furs; breaking away, yet isn't she
Pretty in pink ? Get on with the joke and say; rather, it's a beautiful day....
Baby's black balloon takes her high; she almost fell amid that hole in their eyes ?

                                               ...."In Progress."...

Breaking Away
Blue,
Cold,
and Wet crashes against Stone.
smooth,
strong,
unmoving Stone cradles Blue in its mothering bosom.

Cloud,
independent in its constant transition,
mocks Cold from above a cliff.
Cold,
defiant, yet afraid,
whispers desire to Stone.
Voice cracks Stone’s beautiful exterior;
threatening lingering stains like a blackberry against a pristine white sheet.
Wet licks Stone’s cracks promising it will never leave....

Failing Visions
The hole in his retina was getting larger.
He once saw the elephants
heading for the hills
long before the news broke on that far shore.

Even today
when his magnifying glass is cloudy
with questions
he still sees the asteroids.
breaking away from their trajectories
and falling upon the earth
like a pack of wolves.

He told the ophthalmologist
about this vision
she just smiled,
at least he thought she smiled,
for her teeth were as black
as a moonless night....

What Is Love To You?
Is love to you,
a game played by two.
Could you trust,
if you wanted to.
Or do you just play
and tear them apart.
Piece by Piece,heart by heart.

What is Love to you,
or in your eyes,
not real at all.
Could you for a moment,
give without taking.
Share your heart,
at the risk of it breaking.
Take the chance,without breaking away.

What is Love to you,
maybe a chance to have faith.
Trust someone other than yourself.
Given truly, your heart to someone else....

Beyond This Dream
It all started with my eyes closed,
In a land of dreams where nothing is forced.
Something within me wanted to go beyond,
Breaking away this painful bond.

I've set forth now with nothing to stop,
This rentless journey till I reach the top.
I've seen that beauty defy reality,
What lies beyond this dream and brutality?

I'm exhausted standing at vanity,
The view ahead at verge of insanity.
I still have to keep moving on,
Till my bones fades with dust and is gone.........
