Fear

To fear is human
Even the bravest and strongest man
On earth has a greatest fear.
It's only God who'll vanish fear forever.

Wise Or Foolish

A wise man will think
When a foolish man does not~
Does adventure wait
For only the bravest men
Or can the foolish join in?

Stilled Voice (For John Gawsworth, 1921-1970)

Poetry is easy, life is hard,
And so the bravest bard
Begins to buckle with the weight of brutal years—
His singing disappears.

Poets

I respect scientists who explore everything
Around us and who are so smart
But the bravest explorers are poets
Explorers of the human heart

Creepy Clown

Listen to poem:
We spied a clown with a grin,
With a smile from nose to chin.
He'd laugh and he'd play,
In a creepy way,
That scared the bravest within!

DAILY GRATITUDE INDIVIDUAL COURAGE

Today I’m grateful for individual courage…
as the bravest among us have always known
It is easy to stand with a crowd..
but it takes courage to stand alone.

Rebirth

Rebirth
is a choice
that the bravest make
to rise from the black, hollow ocean
forever standing up and never going down again
beginning the final round against despair
and winning the fight for eternity

THANKFUL FOR THE RAIN

Today I’m once again thankful for the rain:
As I search the world for beauty and for bravery
I wonder if raindrops aren’t the most beautiful and bravest of them all…
As they beautify and nurture our entire world every day
while unafraid to fall.

Dark Abyss

New love seems so dangerous
when lost someone precious

take my word
its no easy world

walking the path
fighting the evils wrath

like nightmares memories they haunt
even the bravest of all they daunt

with no mercy they push them all
into the darkest abyss they fall

Curtain Call

Reality falls in beads of sweat
I can't make my heart align with my head
No compromise will be enough
To bring out the best in both of us
Someone had to draw the line
Amongst the chaos of warning signs
But even the bravest soldier falls
Every act has its curtain call.

The Bravest

THE BRAVEST

the bravest feet

stumble, stop.... again--again--

Dare travel

    treacherous roads--ignore the rain

No thought for honor or for pain

They bypass shortcuts filled with glory

Content to walk a silent story

The bravest feet

A Person's Worth

To whom a person to apologize
  is the bravest person
To whom a person to forgive
  is the strongest person
To whom one to forget
  is the happiest person
Forgive the others
  not because of them
Worth to be forgiven
  but because you are worthy
Getting some peace and respect.

The three-letter word
we'd rather not hear
and many a soldier
  no longer holds dear

A word that means blood
and guts spilled for what
promising peace talks
  once open... now shut

A word that strikes fear
in the hearts of the bravest
plays Taps on trumpets
  for Tragedies gravest

Do You Suffer From Pentheraphobia

Do you suffer from Pentheraphobia – its fear of the Mother in Law
A phrase that can strike fear in the bravest of all
For some people it’s all out war

We were pretty lucky; she didn’t interfere
And now she’s no longer with us
The words ‘mother in law’ I do not fear

Red

The color red
a color of oppisites
a color of death
a color of life
of hatred and love
It is a color of passion
No simpering maid
It is a color of strengh
and courage
for who but the bravest are willing to go into swirrling depths
Red is a color
that brings out the best in us
and the worst

The Real Joke

I applied poison to die.
I wanted to end everything.
I was slowly achieving freedom.
Free from all joy and sorrow.
Away from light and darkness.
My bravest last adventure,
towards the gate of unknown.
I was not frightened or reluctant,
but I was desperate to breathe.
Life and death is a real joke.

Raizing Children

Raising children

Is the loftiest and bravest of human endeavors

For

It requires a life filled with:

Constant battles,

Ceaseless agonies, and

Perpetual sacrifices,

Without knowing, if the efforts made, will be

Crowned with success or not!

Flying with a broken wing

Across the sky at end of day

I watched as birds set off home

to roost. Straight home with no doubt

Direct through pink flush sky but look

One bird at the back desperate

Flapping double time to keep up

With the confident the strong the bold.

Oh dear bird with broken wing

You are the bravest of the lot.

Veteran's Day

Today is a very special day
a day we all hold dear
for the men and women who fought
in many wars, far and near
it's due to those soldiers
that we can live free
those bravest souls
that rid us of Hussein and Quaddafi
we are free because of sacrifice
that soldiers give every way
so remember our warriors
on this special and solemn day

Unfinished

Press your back against the wall
You are lost, you are gone
You're out of solutions
Out of excuses
You are a coward
But not for long

You act out of fear
You do the bravest thing you've ever done
You do something you will regret in the end
But you do something
Don't forget, you've done something
That's the important part

A Choice of Colors

A Choice of Colors
For Mom 2024

It is a conspiracy of years
that pulls down the leaves
dries the creek beds
blackens a leg.
It must be cheerfully
countenanced
but the fear and rage
overwhelms.

Only when an ending
is better than
the next minute or two
does the last faltering step
become the bravest one
we will take.
