Flying with a broken wing
Across the sky at end of day
I watched as birds set off home
to roost. Straight home with no doubt
Direct through pink flush sky but look
One bird at the back desperate
Flapping double time to keep up
With the confident the strong the bold.
Oh dear bird with broken wing
You are the bravest of the lot.
