BROKEN STEPS

they had some good times
days not too hot nor too cold
cold preferable
unless denied the warm room
that place under broken steps

once while cleaning up
insulation was dumped
‘neath those broken steps
and Lord knows how many cats
had blessedly found a home...

After All
Tumble me through this nebulous
connection
so
I can
gently touch your fingertip
as you
reach
for November’s sky

Kindly
wrap me in winter wishes
    once upon an icy star
and
warm me with promised
nights of velvet
naked

Then
    blessedly
release me into the
night of snow
and lost...

Forgiveness
Forgiveness
By Michelle Morris
17/07/2020

Forgiveness is a powerful healer -
It can set everyone free;
It blesses every life it touches,
And can bring God's grace closer,
Blessedly...

So forgive yourself;
Forgive others too;
Let forgiveness create healing,
Always -
For me and for you...

Tired, after hours
                 of too much poetry.
                 Now back to cold,
                 harsh reality.
You so wish to live in
                 modes, planetary.
But there is wash to do,
                 and things delightfully,
                 blessedly ordinary.

A Prayer: Thank You God
A Prayer: Thank You God.

Thank you, God, for this day
Not only for this do I pray.

But to use it a beneficial way.
Mindful of your everlasting say.

Letting me not be so far astray.
As not to hear I love you always.

Your light a shining golden ray.
Keeping the devil away.

My soul is stronger than clay.
knowing hate does not pay.

May I in blessedly sleep lay
Having said to many evils nay.

All Glory to his name....

Aging
When I am bent with the vintage of the years
A stick-man having lived my dissipation through
I will be as the bough of an ancient tree.
What once was a twig
Will resemble a branch of an Old Sequoia.
I will stand tall and straight if only in my mind
My grandfather's mole in mind and the wreckage of
Years past covered with moss and tears and blessedly
Forgotten.
Like the plans of other mice and men
My plans have gone
Astray - and
I have rejoiced in the most mundane....
