Premium Member Hide and Seek
A dilemma we are forced to face
I may say, by Mr. Corona's grace
wants us to play hide and seek
Yet it's more wealth we bespeak
It seems so hard to shun the rat race.

Action and Feelings
For a widow's tear
Glimmers with sobs
At night's dawn

And sights of gold
Are made manifest by shouts
At miners' cave

Even so your actions
Bespeak the warmth
Your heart wields for me....

Death Jones
To bespeak her time I shan’t
A mere penny possesses more value
Than that of which her presence preserves
The daring, lingering foretaste that is affinity
Though to raze all dolor she abstains
All along she had been sleeping with death...

Premium Member Spring Brings Fairies
Silent all winter the stone bird bath
frozen in time. Autumn debris covered
where in spring
a fountain of daffodils erupt….
Between carpets of velvet moss- hushed breath
purple faces of mini Irises
Bespeak fairies

Hearts joy on the wing....

Winter Quintain
Across the Heath the chill'ed land’s in sleep
The Bushes hunched, the bare trees holding still
In cyclic pattern: seasons’ lives bespeak
Not grip of death but life's farseeing will
That shall revive and Nature’s wish fulfil

Ode To a Broken Bowl
Sorrow befalls me upon first glance

Heartbreak bemoans my shattered soul

Tears on my pillow bespeak pain in my heart

All for the love of a broken bowl

While memories may dwell in a fractured mist

And some will never be whole

No one if any will ever forget

My ode to a broken bowl

Premium Member A Christmas Mood
Traditional shimmering Christmas trees
With baubles and icicles and ornaments
Bring exquisite feelings of joy and peace
Each December day in present tense.

The scent of pine, the solace of sights
The tinkle of bells, a small golden horn
Bespeak of calm on the holiest of nights
When angels announced Jesus was born.

The Merchant's Lady Ii
We know not of that Woman,
though ‘tis known that for years
she has begged for death.

what marred such a creature?
unsought furtherance,
everlasting atrocity,

or a centaur,
agog martyrs and honor,

‘tis certain that,
once the castles are built,
their emperors,

though drunk on sex,
and branded by adulation,
shall ascend.

but does fame bespeak
an eternity of pandemonium?
Perchance....

Victim of Knowledge
I am imprisoned
Amidst walls that speak
Beleaguered by chains
That read through my mind
          That seek
I sense not even time,
Not a day, not a week
It is only in space
I find my years of light

I am a prisoner, a victim
Beyond all the painful and
              The bleak
Still yearning to know,
I still bespeak
An essence of this complex, meek
              Surrender...

Premium Member Favorite Protegee
His favorite protegee
Mentors her day by day
You are his curious delight
You're always affable
And so unflappable
Yes you're his favorite acolyte

Though your aura's sacred chic
Radiating cool mystique
Your life story does bespeak
Constant fight

His patronage for your art
Remains for you're his dear heart
Shine favorite protegee shine
Rejoice that your lives intertwine...

Colours of Minds
Dark ones are dark, evil and bleak
Tawny is better, but helpless and weak
Blue ones are active, yet maybe a freak
Red is normal, common who seek
Yellow is great, wise and unique
White is best, divine and mystique
Colours of skin, I didn’t speak
Colours of minds that I bespeak.

Premium Member I Am a Hippie Full of Voodoo
I am a hippie, untried but true.
With nothing to prove to him or you.
It must seem like I live in a zoo.
My ways to you might be voodoo.

Do not bespeak my witches’ brew.
Heartfelt meditations are my strong glue.
My spirit loving your ballyhoo.
In my home there is a rainbow hue.

A loveliness Bohemians always knew.
Outside my cow has a sassy moo.
My melody dances through and through.
For living my truth makes my spirit true....

A Mountain Speaks
I stood atop a mountain high
Surveyed the vastness of the sky
With arms extended outwardly
A moments thought inspirit me.
I pray you mount, I beg bespeak
Please share with me your grand mystique;
Bestow on me the things you know.
An echo thrice said, “No!.. No!.. No!”
Why? I asked, disconcertingly
Meaning is all I seek, only
Please, please impart what I should know.
Again the echo,” No!.. No!.. No!”
Instantly it began to rain
‘Twas then my quest was all in vain....

Premium Member Why
a heart …
is meant for a
far better habitation -
for a chest
that garners gold
and laurels …
and a coursing
of benevolence and bounty,
not blight …
so why?
perhaps it thrums
to weed the world of wonder -
to set against
what’s truly worthy,
or bespeak
what dark things I am …
perhaps, just
to assure the Universe
it is not infallible -
to remind others
of all that I once was,
and to remind me
of all that I am NOT …
all I had wished
(in quiet corners of the day) …
to be....
