Assassin of Time

Have you murdered the future
by destroying the past

The present to judge
—sentenced at last

Death and Taxes

Memory kills time,
as time kills life…

Faster than a paid assassin,
colder than a dream that’s stolen

—surer than the tax man knows

(Dreamsleep: March, 2022)

Sharp pain in my side! Big reaction!
For a stabber I'll show no compassion!
I search 'neath my clothes;
Oops! No crime, I suppose
When Sir Underwire is the assassin !

Assassin

The uncertainty of life is deeply rooted in my mind. I am transfixed with the notion of death.
It stalks like a cleaver assassin, waiting patiently hidden beneath a quiet mind.

Mine

Clothes
I love
You throw out
What’s that about?
Who do you think you are? The God of Bods?
The Fashion Assassin? The King of Things?
It’s not your stuff!
So don’t touch!
Okay?
Hey!

Lady Guinevere Decided To Follow Her Passion

Lady Guinevere decided to follow her passion
By finding employment as a hired assassin.
  She practiced technique
  On her cousin Monique,
But found the guillotine to be out of fashion.

Premium Member Killing Time

what are you
a butcher
an assassin
are you kidding me

you nonchalantly
say you’re
just killing time

do you not see
it’s criminal
you’ll never come across
anything more valuable
than the precious
gift of time

Killer

KILLER

Saturnine sleeper of the night,
Soaring slowly, out of sight,
Sleekly shadowing the gloom,
Silent harbinger of doom,
Innocent assassin, surreptitious, sly,
Stainless scandal slipping by,
Scything swiftly through the dark,
Hark the herald warning: Shark.

Assassin

An assassin drew his dagger
but hesitated a while for the victim was undecided
at that moment
he saw a shadow passing by

he followed the shadow
and stabbed the back.

The shadow let out a scream
and fell to the ground
at that moment
an egg
cracked open to hatch a chick.

Taken by surprise early spring blooms Those beautiful flowers Beheaded in play before courtroom Trial, frost's killing power Come and gone Jack the assassin Leaving death in his wake This year's beauty now a ruin Immortal bulbs awake

MY BROKEN PAST

The wind stroking my eyebrows
As I try to assuage my sorrows
The guilts of my past
Lie await in my path

My yesterday has become an assassin
That exterminates the enthusiasm of my tomorrow
My today whiffs with the redolence of sin
As all my drives are engulfed in sorrow

Serengeti

a stampede of memories flood the plain
fearful of the hidden assassin
that time itself reveals

their skins, thick with the dead
callous accusations and conversations
aired frequently in public

brambles envelop them, ripping flesh
but the stalker waits silently
until enough blood has been spilled

The No Name Killer

quiet yet abrupt he is
commisioned to thrill but kill
Is he an assassin?

believes in sobriety
but still merciless
Is he the no name killer?

his victim never asked his name
his whereabouts unknown to the world
Perhaps he is the no name killer

a cold blooded killer
a homicidal maniac some say
But still a no name killer

Set It Off

im a lyrical assassin
steady attackin
blastin knowledge for the weak
and those afraid to speak
words that have you wide open
mostly written sometimes spoken
but neva chokin on da rhyme
the rhythm is to devine
pen loaded like a AK
my ink always ready to spray
mentally setting it off day by day
prayin it take my pain away

Dreams

A man did dream
And harpooned a Marlin
And brought with him,
But a monstrous fin.

A dame did dream
Of marrying a rich prince;
She cracked her urn
And broke her dream.

A man did dream
Of nabbing an assassin
But found in him
The greatest sin.

“Do dream, do dream,”
Ear drums resound,
But dreams – are dreams,
They just abound.

Premium Member No Treaty

No treaty is negotiable with the eager viral assassin.

Doubt the truth of gossip. What’s sadder than the unreasonable sucker?

Tribal outcries and worldly conceits are not impenetrable refuges.

May you all be sheltered and safe and may modern alchemy protect you.

May you have what you need and be happy.

We will rise or fall together.

Assassin

Killing bit of soul everyday
Is only one gun hammer click away
Hidden behind the blanketed curtain
Hidden from sight so sure of a win
And shielded force from the light of day
A murderous horde of sold out souls
Claiming blood beating fearfully cold
For crimes of unwitting imagination
Committed and unsuccessfully sold
Without communication

The Dark

The darkness slowly creeps up on the light,
Like a well trained assassin.
When it’s done.
It sets its eyes upon us,
Like the moon hovering over the earth.
It throws its darts at us, like shooting stars.
It almost seems to be immortal,
But everything has a weakness.
As the light rises out of the dark like a phoenix.
It consumes the darkness.

My Sincerest Apologies

I'm absolutely deplorable
The worst there ever was
I'm just down right Incouragable
And I'm that way just because

Some Call me the Devil
While others fall in love
Of faces I own several
And each one fits me like a glove

I'm a silver tongued Assassin
Aiming directly for your heart
I may not be old fashioned
But I've had you from the start

Assassin of Youth

Come meet the assassin of youth-
Breath stinks! But he’s got swagger
Possessing the college kids- got them confused!

Come meet the assassin of youth-
Granddads thinking they are 22
Sweet talking minds in kind
The Jamaican – a stereotype

Come meet the assassin of youth
Barack on cloud 9
David didn't deny
Bill had a try
Tony it did inspire

Meet the assassin of youth.

Premium Member Let it be

The Beatles split up so subtly and suddenly,
They branded Yoko with the blame.
But it's still a mystery.

Outside the Dakota, Lennon was slain.
He would have said love is still the answer
but hate prevailed that day.

Decades later, the assassin is still in jail.
Mother Mary whispered to me
Let it be, let it be, let it be, but to no avail.
