Caught Stinky Ampersand In My Boot
I caught ampersand in my boot.
Go away I said or I’ll shoot.
Hilarious pout.
Arrogantly loud and not moot,
His flatulence was a big hoot.
And stinky, no doubt....

Friend?
Quickly fading
Deeper and deeper
It fell out of my grasp
Seeped through my fingers
Unable to keep it
I arrogantly lost it
Saddest of all
I didn't realize it was gone...

Braggadocio
There are too many people whose favorite trick,
Is to preach, "Walk softly and carry a big stick."
But, in practice, they arrogantly sing Yankee Doodle
And stomp around loudly, but carry a wet noodle...

Acrostic
Ragged Breaths
It was the flute,
shoot me
if I'm mistaken.
that first stole my heart.
she played arrogantly
intuitively
magnificently
I watched her artistry
with tears in my eyes.
that was a fortune of years ago
spent, now
just old memories of
music I have loved and
she
who played....

What She Said When She Was Done
When did you first conclude that I
was placed upon this Earth to cry
and wait for you to love me too?
You’ve arrogantly missed each clue
that I am truly over you!

Conflict
The priest ran
Scared to raise
An ignorant army
On a darkling plain
Loading guns
With dummy
Faith.The froth
Rose arrogantly
In the test
Tube.They heard
Eyes shut and saw
Ears plugged
Contorted faces
Expecting the explosion
Any moment.
Slowly
Very slowly the froth
Spilled over
Leaving behind - would
The 'faithful' believe ?- a near
Essence of religion....

Impossible
What is in beauty that can make you agony?
What is in love that seems to tear you apart?
Why would supposedly delightful things become painful?
We are born and we grow up selfish, that is why!
We wish naively to own beauty.
We wish arrogantly to control love.
We wish, after all, what is utterly impossible!
And the impossible hurts more than any other thing!...

Five Decades
FIVE DECADES
It is yet dawn here!
Though the sun smiles glowingly
The souls set to toil
Like hypnotized spirit in deep laughter
It is yet dawn here!
The cloud had fermented
The earth arrogantly molested
Culminating a forced abortion
It is yet dawn here!
The journey had long began
The barns are of suckling
Counsels have been trodden
Five decades of fumbling and stumbling
When will it be dawn here?...

Godly Success
Godly success is Providence-wrought victory*
While yielding to the Holy Ghost for power
Against self-glorying motive, arrogantly destructive.
Dependence to the Lord in doing His will
While obeying Him propelled by faith and love
Brings sure triumph, vanquishing personal whims.
*2Samuel 23:12 But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it…and the LORD wrought a great victory.

Georgehenge
The ancient stones stand silent
As they have throughout the ages,
Keeping their seasonal assignments
As the world around them changes.
Thousands of years pass
And old stones become forgotten.
Modern granite slabs arrogantly carved
With lessons of what should be learned,
Instead of those things best observed
Through spirit and nature, unadorned.
Stoñehenge steeped with ancient wisdom,
Georgia Guidestones misquided modern whimsies....

In Wasted Time
How can it be described my love, the life of an angel?
Staring into exotic skies with emptiness in my heart.
Vicious winds confide in me their wickedness
Looking down on me your radiance shines through the night
Forever I loved
But in minutes I lost
Drifting amidst dark seas
Vainly disputing the spirits
Arrogantly cheating death, where am I without you
You stand in heaven, me on earth.
Yet without you I am broken
Lost, and seeking
A beauty that is matchless
In wasted time...

Cathy's Cat
Half Alpaca, it spits if I dare kiss Cathy's ruby lips.
It plants a jacked-up rhubarb stalk,
a stiff stalking walk
if I dare roan hands over
my lovers compliance.
Cathy’s cat is much loved by itself
and also by the silky paws of its owner.
I think it may be transforming into a Burmese python
or something more slinky, sneaky, and lower.
As for I, it shows its one scorning pink eye
as it struts away
tail up, exposing a cool distain
as arrogantly possessive as any ‘fork you’ flag....
