Hegseth’s hateful inked tattoos stink
Women all know he's rinky-dink
As his antidote
He’ll rescind girl’s vote
But undressed now Peter does shrink

O Poor Me

a nocturnal art escapist.
dreamer of dreams.
the sad clown.

tragedy belongs to all.
anecdote, to some.
antidote. to none.
cry a sad tear clown,
cry.

so potent,
a scarce resource
the essence of
true love,

not by chance,
oust the negative

hold love aloft-
the only antidote

No one was waiting for this poem that I wrote.
There's not a thought in it anyone will ever quote.
So why did I write it,
knowing no one will ever cite it?
Because writing is an Englishmajoritis antidote.

The Aristotole Files

Hate
Rage
So strong,
It destroys
And suffocates us
Into believing it doesn't die
Our chldren will forever be infected by it
A disease that will never have an antidote but will spread like a fire season

Premium Member Anxiety the Antidote

ANXIETY the antidote

Unconditional love,received unconditionally
antidote to anxiety, the agape of the
will that turns us away from sin
and back to Him.
When we hear His voice
push on that door,...invite Him in

Summer in its peak
Humid and torrid heat waves
Rush to get cooled off

Jesus

JESUS
You are the pulse
that throbs in my veins,
you are the antidote
that frees me of all pains.
You are the rhythm
of my heartbeat,
without you my life it
would be incomplete.

Uncured

Deepest hurt was all around
Antidote is not yet found

The scars of the past remain
Refresh the bundles of pain

Memories seemed so bitter
Animalistic glitter

Mad man plays the rules of love
Tears from lover full of doubt

Premium Member The Way You Dote

A crushing smile the way you dote,
I’m falling all over myself;
No gravity I start to float,
a crushing smile the way you dote;
The poison or the antidote
hoodwinked by a four letter ‘F’;
A crushing smile the way you dote
I’m falling all over myself.

Premium Member Antidote

Hate is a latent poison
Brewed from long term anger
Love is the antidote of hatred
The feeling of love is great
Hate is toxic, and eats you up.
Anger not relieved is hatred
 being brewed
But love remains the antidote
 to hatred.

Primal Scream

My scream nobody listens,

in the middle of this huge city,

           I won't depress on unhappiness

           wrecked, drink poison or hemlock...

said to be the antidote to this agony

I found the source of poetry in the fierce cry...!

Premium Member Cure For Frog In the Throat

Clyde was harassed by a frog in his throat

Chances of finding a cure was remote

But much to ol' Clyde's surprise

Doc said feed it a few flies

Proving to be the perfect antidote

Emotional Arrows

Guilt gets nothing built,
Of sorrow there is no need to borrow,
Anger ill suits an angler,
Patience requires a degree of experience,
Kindness is a great antidote to loneliness,
Hope requires more than one rope,
Love always comes from above,
Wisdom only comes out of one kingdom.

Go Glow

Be gracious
A smile is just for you
When happy or when blue.
Just wear it on your face
It will sooth the pace
It shines in the eyes
 It has no antidote and
It twilight in the skies.
Our passion lasts if we kiss it
And it confesses.
Just smile.

Humour

The spice of life
And the sweet in laughter,
An antidote for strife
It pacifies anger,
The lotion for age
The tickle of a poem,
A wonderful stage
Where joy can come.
Such is the element
Free to all men,
A helpful ingredient
Is Humour, Amen!

So, life

I weaponize my words with venom
Seared with truth
Laced with honor
They cannot endure without the antidote of denial
Nour can they bare the scars of reluctance
They squander their hope on impunity
They measure their joy in frailty
How can we as they live when they question their own life?

Premium Member Dear John,

I’m saddened to note the poem I wrote
for your contest - “Why the Boat Wouldn’t Float
for Billy the Goat” (though I hate to gloat
or self-promote) which reads so smooth the throat
feels the coat of honey’s thick antidote -
confused for an oat got sunk by a goat .

Sincerely,

William McGoadee

Sleep

Sleep, a wonderful gift of nature
That revitalises the body
And invigorates the mind

The silencer of a crying baby
The quieter of a whole town
The tranquilizer of a troubled mind

After the day's hard work
It is the last resort
A natural antidote for headache

A short nap in the day
Can make a huge difference
