It is scrumptiously tasty
Ambrosia for gods
One piece will not do at all
Delightfully sweet
Moist inner frosting
Coconut
Cake
Morning Coffee Tanka
My morning coffee
Must be hot as hell itself
Yet heavenly sweet
I sip it ambrosia
Transporting me away

Fresh
From the
Tropics comes
Sweet coconuts
Crack them open and
Drink their nectar
Ambrosia
In a
Shell.
Black confection triple thick,
Triple chocolate;
Confection of perfection;
It's true ambrosia,
Moist and buttery,
Miracle
Joy!
souls of innocence flourishing in the garden of a keeper
happily served with bowls of cacao and ambrosia of ether
guarded by the coracle of invisibility
Oh how I love chocolate;
Dark or milk…Heaven!
Makes my palate jump for joy;
Sweet or semi-sweet,
It is ambrosia,
for my soul…
bliss!
I look and see
in front of me
I touch and feel
the dream
I taste the wine
that is sweet
I hear the lyrics
sung for me
I smell the ambrosia
of your love
Coffee is the hot drink of
The gods, it must be
Because no matter how you
Drink it, it pleases
Its daily power
Ambrosia
Thrill.
Kahlua drizzled on top
Ice cream sliced like pie.
Dark fudge floats in the center.
Crumbled oreo crust
Floating in hot fudge.
Ambrosia
Joy!
Strawberry constellations twinkle
As seeds for meteors impact fields of greenery.
Abundance grown, as liquified elixirs are sown,
So unlike any ambrosia ever known.
A love that:
Flows so sweet as
ambrosia from Hebe’s
ladle to the cup of
Heracles
or nectar saccharine as
Apollo’s lyre,
carried by doves!
to the heavenly feast
Today I splurged on a steak.
Thick with the fat trimmed close
Seasoned - broiler - aroma
Taste buds squirt delight
Juice runs down my chin
Ambrosia
Burp!
Padraig was a talented man
stroked the harp in sack-cloth kaftan
blew tin whistles sweetly
sang harmony completely
now immortalised on a Guinness can

My darling Clementine
Thought you were a satsuma
Or maybe mandarin
Did not mean to presume a
Variety, you cutie
Ambrosia made with halos
By whatever name you go
You orange little beauty
From the cup of Venus
A few drops of Gods' ambrosia I drunk
Thus
Among the Olympians myself, I found
Because of your love!

**Christmas Ambrosia**
Christmas tree lights
of velvety hues and blends
on walls, do flashdance
11-23-2020
Aromatic ambrosia, with
Fragrance of flowers
Prithee, I wish thee
Stay, spend with me hours
Jasmine-dipped honey
Yet comforts my tummy
Lunch break long over
Do bees still love clover
BE MY V
The vessel
Of tender feelings,
Empty for a year in my
Heart remains
Longing for the day
YOUR
Affectionate presence
Fills it with the
AMBROSIA of LOVE!

METAMORPHOSIS
BLACK COAL TURNED INTO DIAMOND,
WAVES ARE SLOW AND CALMER.
BLISSFUL AMBROSIA I AM SIPPING,
BEST VERSION OF ME IS CREATING.
CRUSHING THE SHELLS, I GOT WINGS,
CIRCLE ON ME IS GOLDEN BLEAM.
Upon a Bed of Petals
upon a bed
of petals, lay ye down
ambrosia lent
filling the senses
in pungent resistance
the unfurled rose
petals stripped in turn
a lovers gift
with heavenly soft scent
permeates the room

Language of love
cacophony,
words
mumbling'stumbling,rumbling
soft
over
ruffians
throats,
and the waterfall pools
in ripples in transcient soul basins
ambrosia for the thirsty god of love.
Mother Mary weeps for her children; her tears are soul-ambrosia.
Skirmishes and wars have taken their toll; innocents are slaughtered.
Her tears wash away the bloodstains; her guidance, gives hope.
A
Minute
Of your heart
Is all I need
In order to breathe
You are my very breath
It's your beauty I inhale
You fill my lungs with blind desire
You're the ambrosia that feeds my soul
Without your love I have no need to breathe
Ambrosia
Black tulip Shrek
Green envy demonstrative
Butter wouldn't melt whence churned
Into something other than itself
With chicken arms and pigeon chest
Which inside to hide
The ashes of a loved one
Departed
