clouds alight
dew beads on wet leaves
feels like love...
sleeping buds
blossom their unfolded wings
a caged skylark trills.
Dawn awakens, senses heighten
Orange sherbet streaks brilliant
Underpin clouds your eyes taste
Alight on your tongue ere they fade
Cheer out if you’re listening
Truly must your heart-mind be - singing
Across and spacing as seasons
Dance away ‘til next ceasing.
I caught like a catcher your star,
it in you out in me now alight,
and like you I play my guitar,
death in life to be won by delight.

Iridescent blooms,
linger lavender or peach.
Butterflies alight.
Wings slice evening air,
Geese alight on mirrored pond,
Splashing, ripples spread,
Feathers silver, dusk turns gold,
In the twilight, shadows wed.
The days draw on
And your touch
Is like a
Permanent glove
Your heat
Equates mine
Fire with fire
We are alight
And burn
And burn
Until there is no more
Canopy of blue sky
Blanket’s Earth;
An electric
Fire of stars

a dream-like canvass floats into a higher octave,

filled full
of mortar,
to layer nests
that cleave seamless beneath the hanging thatch.
