Premium Member Polished
An uncle unpolished
The polished bamboo strips
He was astonished
When he was admonished
And repolished the polished strips.

First Piece Admonished
I wrote upon the edges of the wind
black heart ache pain
the ink that filled the well
the quill air sprinkled light

Social Climber
"There is no safety this side of Death",
admonished Father Jubal.
There's a chance we've only one more breath;
I'd bet my bottom Ruble!
My iron tongue- my lying lung!
One last dirge to be sung...
But from the depths of Hell, from Heaven fell-
I have climbed up wrung for wrung!...

Shine, People, Shine
Trevor McKinney suggested we Pay It Forward;
others call it random acts of kindness.
Jesus admonished, “Be lights in your world.”
Shine, people, shine. Let your good deeds glorify God.

Premium Member Prayer Patient
Though taught to be prayerful: “to pray without ceasing”* we are admonished to tarry for answers… taking heed not to become “prayer patients” exclaiming this to the Father above: “Lord, give me patience right now…” for such is impatience at work.

Premium Member Lies
Darn those sweet little lies
Deceiving duplicitous disguises
Tainting and twisting the truth
Loathsome lessons learned at youth
Casually coloring confessions
Secretly shrouding indiscretions
Desperately dodging discovery
Sometimes slandering skulduggery
Distorting details is dishonest
And should always be admonished

World's Perspective
There once was a child questioned everything she did her parents admonished her for peering into the workings of the world, but the child poor child couldn't possibly understand what did she do wrong, and the wise old man said to her that t'was not her fault for 'tis the world who should be punished for the fault often lies not in the doing but in the way we see the doing.

The Dove
They all wish,

and dreams collide- on a dime-
on a dive,

they say in admonished curves in time and color,

of those flapping doves,

seizes mind a flutter,

they wish to seal within the prosperous carrothers-
sanctity of motion,
hectors O' acres of the dozens...

They all wish one the baskets on the ovens-
and upon dishes their bumpkins-
that loudness to be promised to everyone we have punished....

In the Hush
At shore just shy of ocean floor
Shy by foolish miles and miles more
Splashing in through shallow withouts
Hush hush all these flourishing doubts

Cautious soul breathes rush of air
Push down the rush to hold it there
Shining spirit in primal shouts
Hush hush all these flourishing doubts

Shortcomings bashed and admonished
In waves washing them astonished
No sharing shapes of shaken bouts
Hush hush all my flourishing doubts...

Two Lenses Unchanged
Two Lenses - Unchanged

When I was young and foolish
I’d do things not quite schoolish.
My naked feet danced barefoot in the rain
splashing in water running toward the drains
until grams admonished me on my childish ways.

Today, I am always wearing socks and shoes
careful outside where my feet may get bruised,
but in the warm spring storms and rainy days
I stand at the door and watch the children play
whose simplistic innocence restores my youth....

Soft Shades of Blue
Scattered the droplets splay a sheen not really seen soft shades of blue filter from the form that is you azure streaks of summertime bliss electrifying my sky a mere twining in your eye accentuates and erupts feining the sun I've come undone as the strings untie the past waves wash over our fears bravely admonished to lie near trailing footprints traverse holding on to an outstreched hand farther never felt so close
