________________________________________________________________________-

In a state of darkness, with hatred in his heart, there traveled to Damascus with the intent to persecute Christians one named Saul. On the road, light surrounded him, blinding him. He was a witness to Christ, who admonished him. Once in Damascus, he waited until a believer, Ananias, would soon answer God’s call by laying healing hands on a man who was once so cruel. That same light that had blinded Saul transformed him into the redeemed apostle known as Paul.

All right, I get the tonal slippage thing. I wonder if you researched your topic. Just curious knowing your religious background. Great job, Andrea, I'm sure you'll place. Love, CayCay

yes, sweetie. I researched it to be on the safe side. I guess Saul actually SAW Jesus! I did not know the name Ananias, so I had to look that up.

When God touched Saul, his darkened spirit turned into one of light. He became an ardent follower of Christ and bore witness to him for the rest of his life. Indeed, he became a child of light. A great entry for the contest. All the Best, dear Andrea.

I would say that Saul (Hebrew form)/ Paul (Latin form) had quite a unique experience with Christ/ the Holy Spirit. The original name means ask for or desired and the other form of Saul means humble. Amazing isn't it. Thanks for sharing this work with us about Saul/Paul coming to the realization of Jesus and Who He really was. Sara K

Only God can truly, truly love a sinner...but maybe, just maybe...we could strive to love a little bit more like God would have us want to so try and earnestly do. We have tried everthing else. Maybe love is the only way after all. :) john
