Second Place
There it is
That feeling again
The feeling that
I'll never be one of you
And that
No matter how hard I try
There's something separating us
And I am again
Second place...

Adhd Evolution
When we hunted in the field
all eyes trained upon the kill
someones mind would wander around
and note we're being hunted down
ADHD is now a deficit
back then we'd be dead for definite...

He flutters and flits from thing to thing
A monarch butterfly, with an ADHD wing
Like a bird he tweets, but cannot sing...
  He's a buzzing bee --
                  -- no pollination, all sting...

Weird Looks
I'm afraid of your weird looks again
I'm just trying to joke with you guys
[REDACTED] made the same joke yesterday
Why isn't it funny anymore?

I don't understand
What is this code you all have?...

A Poem of Isolation:Adhd's Influence
I am reaching out to you
Why can't you see my hand
I know it doesn't look like the others
Why can't you see my hand
Please
Look at my hand
I'm begging you
See my hand
Please
Please
See my hand...

Scrumbled Brain
Red swing dance
Smooth, cold touch
Foggy white brain
Froggy right pain

Blind, tired heart
Filmy white eyes
Bad handwriting
Bland crayon fighting

Cold leather book
Warm red fire
Nice soft bed
Rest my head...

Whats Going On
The world is loud
Everyone speaks in a rhythm I can't understand
They look at me strangely when I offer myself
And they believe I know what I have said

They are speaking another language
And there is no dictionary...

"ADHD"
In the still of the night,
my thoughts are racing
and need erasing.
All I have to do is use my pen,
then the art of writing begins,
the thoughts become silent.
Flowing words onto paper is reliant!
It helps me hide from ADHD for awhile,
It shows in my face with a sincere smile.

The Struggle Is Real
Every sound is screeching
Every voice is wailing,
Larger than life.
No stillness
Never.

Every eye is on me
When I have to go up there
Alone
The whole class is waiting
For me to
Finish

They say they need it to pass the test
Or they want to have a good time
But their laughs make our struggle harder
The kids who don’t take Adderall for fun....

Premium Member No More Adhd Sorrow
I gave birth to a lie
And it stole all my time
If ever I could fly
With wings of grime

Look in my eyes
I saw the burning sorrow
Paved with lies
Suffocating tomorrow

Look at me now
Blazing like a star
I feel whole somehow
Knowing I've come far

No more ADHD trance
And it stole so much time
But I'm ready to dance
Sit back and watch me shine...

Premium Member We Were Not Like That
five and a half
runs up, down, all around
stomp, stomp, stomp, run, run, run,
high and away
most of the day
do you think he has ADHD? His teenage sister asks me
No, I say. “He’s five and a half. That’s how they are.”
We weren’t like that, she says.
Yes, you were, I tell her.
All of us?
There are six of them.
“All six of you,” I say.
She looks amazed....

It's the Adhd
I have to say
because that's what i do
centre of attention
never listened too
impulsive outspoken
words seep through
blurted and blew
uncontrolled but true
repulsive uncouth
mind mouth aloof
yeah i'm mentally loose
no choice no choose
my feet are my shoes
unprotected and bruised
heart's on the sleeve
you can see every beat
i speak what i see
it's the ADHD...

Do You Understand
Do you understand?
Do you understand what is in my heart?
Can you feel my world coming apart?
As my world turns upside down, I can feel myself being pulled harder closer to the ground.
Can you understand my need to be free?
See to see the light.
To just be me.
I see the people around me and I know how I think is not the same.
But remember it could be worse, I could be insane....

Moment
I used to live greedily for the moment. There was nothing more than the moment. A tumultuous spiral; moment, after broken moment. My kaleidoscope dance through life; clinging to the moment. Now I look back desperate; wishing I could somehow remember how to fit the puzzle pieces back together. Left with nothing more than this moment.

Addled
Restlessness, impulsiveness,
loquaciousness, compulsiveness,
distracted inattentiveness
and tangent railway tracks.

Complexities, anxieties
and dopamine deficiencies.
Instant gratification please,
relief for my synapse.

Procrastination, wired sensation,
biochemical frustration,
forget to take my medication.
Frontal lobe relapse.

Rapid heartbeat, fidgety feet,
hypervigilant, unable to sleep,
central nervous system freak.
Neurological cracks....

Adhds Mind
My mind feels shattered thoughts everywhere.

Can't think can't focus my attention anywhere.

One project, two projects, so much to do.

Three projects, four. I always seem to only have one foot out the door.

Learning something new isn't easy, my mind so easily forgets.

I try so hard to remember so there will be no regrets.

My mind works differently I'm sorry but it's true.

Do you want to switch minds? Mine's like a zoo.

Bite-size poem contest...

Adhd
People don't understand
a lot of your symptoms,
they're quick to put forward
their criticisms.
the struggle is real
people don't understand
how you feel.
its hard to listen
its hard to remember
my family is great
thank god
i'm a member.
i cant keep still
i need to be active
sweating a lot
i'm still attractive.
good at some things
others i'm not
i ask my mum why
because i forgot.
i want to fit in
wherever i can,
and not sit
on the sidelines
till i become a man....

My Story
My life has sucked. people hating never blaming.
I have no love to give or take.
No one is nice anymore for goodness sake.
I was d and abused.
You people always get to choose.
being beat,being scared.
I have a reason for why I share.
Having ADHD is not to hard, but when i'm bullied and I'm teased.
Well that's just down right mean.
having no one to talk to.
Having nothing to do.
What do I have to do?
boys hating me instead of loving.
This boy I know, I'm really in love....
