Harry Belafonte
Some are born Harlem Mercedes
and cast their shadow wide
Turn the world around
with love and peace
Sapple as a Jamaican Calypso
you rode the island Sun
and gave your generational heart
An Aladdin's legacy of activism
of civil rights with Martin King
and the antithesis of Bush and Trump
Wisdom as cultured Wine...

Die a Whole
It’s okay to have no money
A need to protest for the good of many
We just have to keep at it.
Or we die...
A death of a writer
We wanted to die
An honorable death...
Not a death of nothing…
Nothing we did for our society
Something really needs to happen
Many years is not a long time
A time for a few good things
Let’s die a whole!

This is a sharing with Tumbalata Jolo for activism....

Premium Member When Doves Cry
When Doves Cry

Along a seaside promenade in Bray
it was on the radio
You loved it there
This is where you’ll come to lie
Spiritual journey comes to rest
Activism, and socio-political views
Social justice
Your voice
brings me sadness
as I played
a song for you
I heard the doves cry
A torn photo
A public letter
in the news
Just want to say that
Nothing Compares 2 U...

Blissed out on soothing alpha waves, Bewitched by fabulous fiction, Accepting anything with clever diction Crooned by fabulists, charlatans, and knaves, Sitting in a basement, unseen, Parroting drivel on a laptop screen, Mixing groveling groupie activism, Sharing images that birth angry pacifism. In Your Face
In Your Face

I will put it in your face,
as long as it’s in mine.

Is slavery in your face?
They’ve all been set free.

Is child labor in your face?
They’re all in school.

Are the house wives, in your face?
They’re all dropping votes.

As long as injustice reigns;
As long as death fills our veins
As long as the Leaders lie
As long as our planet dies.

I will be in your fat face,
because it’s all in mine.

Premium Member Beauty Arrives On Nature Polishing Off the Scraps of Flesh and Blood
The rhymester fails to e'er descry the inner secret hearsed,
his verse beguiled by beauty slight in Truth -- alack! -- unversed
while Nature sups on Horror still in hurricanoes blind,
bone-fires on heaths, banked holocausts, and droughts deranged aligned
till vomits she the antic with the ancient flood worldwide,
the void and maelstrom waste in which the Scream is hard denied
as each five seconds reaching up, the jealous undertow
down drags a child in Pain and Fear to innards sh*t below....
