My Heart

MY HEART
Late in the night,
My heart beat for someone
But the walls of my
Room separate us
Day return her face to my heart.

An Abecdarian

Take the peg to the river
Strike with the peg,the waters.
Tell no one whatever you see:
Some will for it take you to the sea.

Babbling Farm

When magpies' crackle joins the song
Another answers from below--
That neighing horse completes the verse
Until loud winds hush gossip's row.

Coffee Break

Lo, coffee breaks can be broken.
Mission impossible, to wit
Negaholics manage the show,
Often bad-mouthing managers.
Plans to relax workers is foiled.

Lost in aura of interlude
My pharynx is relaxed, soothed
Nebulizing my weary soul
On dreary days tea is my balm
Prayer’s scent like mint petrichor

Listen to poem:
Luscious teacakes twirl in white coats,
Meringues do zumba rumba
Naughty nibbles dance bub-to-bub
Orange pekoe snugs the cosy
Petite posies ring-a-rosie

Laced linen spread on round table
Makes lured layout with bone china
Nice setting for outdoor tea time
Open air surge of aroma
Pure joy of golden elixir

Premium Member Coffee Break

Lively at eight, the pool’s a.m.
Morning coffee’s brewing; I’m bending.
Noodled ‘til class end, then I sip.
Ostentatious sciatica
Propels me into later wake.

Tears Hard As Shells

Her gaze traces an island
Scanning a plagued village;
Tears swell from a tidal fury
raking bushes, shells--
In Maldives, she wails
For lost daughters.

My Moon Getaway

On a lake, I confide
with the moon of day's routine---
garbage, work, cleaning;
that my heart forgets to strut
lightly on calm grounds.

Love drinking tea hot or ice cold
Monday through Sunday each week day
Never enough flavors for me
Overtime working is tea time
People around the world love tea

Look, London ladies, buff your speech
Mind your soiled plantation fingers
Nary a trace of our old worlds
Occupy their halls royally
Porcelain cups poised on pinkies

The Gift

Thank you, Thank you, for blessings
Sent down in love
Thank you for healing of the soul
Thank you for miracles I have seen today
Thank you God for not giving up on me

Time for Champagne

Love will always end in heartbreak,
Maybe only for me, at least.
Now I sit and drink by myself,
Out in the bleak night, my eyes stare,
Putting the pain into champagne.

Time for Champagne

Laurent-Perrier cuvée brut,
Moet et Chandon follows suit,
Nicolas Feuillatte: brand is moot!
Only Krug is banned (too much loot).
Pommery, you will agree, is beaut!

Let me tell you about my day...
Maybe it was as light as air;
Not too rough, not too contrary-
Oh! You look dubious? Let's just
Pop that cork, it's time for champagne!

Like magic our tea was ready ... Mom made tea time very special; now it is just a memory - On my table tea cups and pot, pour me a cup darling, said Mom.

You Have Me

I had fallen in the trap
the one of your heart!
the one that takes all my time
all my liberty
all my mind
all my body
controlling me
and stopping my breath
You real have me.

The Weather's Down

"the weather's down"

the sky
wasn't

blue
but

cloudy as i

turned my head
thinking it was

snow but
it turned

out
to

be just
a bird's

feather

Falling From His Throne

I pushed my homework

To stargaze with Kermit Frog toy…

Angrily, he threw my moppet

While I glared at this shadow,

Plunging from an adored throne

Like a villain.

Loved all those times we met for tea;
My friends from our old garden club.
Now, many cannot come to share;
Our group is dwindling every year.
Pray those above, still carry on.

lazy, languid Spring afternoon
meditate with fragrant herb tea
nature entertains while I sip
orioles liquid, whistling tune
perched on birdbath shaking their wings
