Beside the city

River is running to meet sea,
mountain for touching sky,
bee for taking honey
Birds are flying high.

snail on the leave of tomatoes
sucking flower glaring butter fly,
numberless cricket coming far off
burning and one by one die.

green fields full of crops,
canal dancing near by,
jumping monkeys in the water
paddy fields, hovering on dragonfly,

melodious songs of shepherded,
bleating of sheep grazing nearby,
burning fire sitting around,
touching rosy lips tea and pie,

Truly Yours

Riding the train on a summer afternoon
feelings of fallacy hurled upon me,
satori in my brown orbs with a speck of gold dust inside,
I was ready to take on my heels back to you,
these intrusions being new
as I cannot assert with the flow
something pulled at my soul
for I lost all track of the sea,
fortified myself down the rabbit hole
seasons turned hazy,
troubled with blurring horizons
juxtaposing everyone else’s against yours in wild tones,
tangled in circles of alliances
crestfallen over you,
just like a little parrot, the throbbing heart of mine
whispers syllables of your calling
and it brought the storm along,
the stark lightning of which struck the chord
in dissipating the blues of mine
aching to be raptured in untethered pragma of love,
while into the deepest of desolation
stepping into your territory felt far-fetched ?
moon light shepherded through
the momentary solace of the soul sought after,
etched onto my roots
when time demands of imperative forgetfulness
you remain
the footprint of yours remain unparalleled in my infinity

Emma, I'm sending it to you. Let this picture be your memory,
May my memory remain with you and accompany you forever,
I was in the beautiful countryside today too. I love it.
With your memory, the world is still there for me today. It lifted me up.

Too bad you weren't sitting there, I was on the bar stool,
The world is beautiful in your memory, there was a chat with friends,
Through the window of the pub, a hopeful light shepherded me.
It's over, it's dawn here now (03:44), I'm still writing this poem,
The world gave me so that you can tear me apart with my suffering.
Don't think I'm dying, the writer is long gone,
My advice to you about my fate comes from a great spirit.

Are you confused? No, it isn't. Covetous, the world is sarcastic in you,
You see my destiny, you created it, beautiful blonde black widow.
But fate, believe me, will soon guide me.
That's why you don't get it. Because I love you, my prayers surround you,
Although, but not yet, my life would have been your faithful love.

The Daredevil Rescue

Stranded in war torn Sudan,
Dreading yet another dawn.
In Wadi Sayyidna town,
Hopelessness was weighing down.

Men and women, young and old,
Watched the civil war unfold.
Homeless, desperate, full of fear,
Longing for their near and dear.

Then on 27th April night,
A C-130J took flight.
Manned by pilots skilled and brave,
Tasked to rescue and to save.

They were flying almost blind,
No navigation aids would they find.
Degraded strip, no landing lights
In the darkness of the night.

Infrared sensors scanned the ground;
No inimical force was found.
Using goggles for night vision,
Thay carried out their tough mission.

An enthralling tale had begun;
Six score passengers and one
Shepherded onto the plane.
Headed for their homes again.

Valor of the highest kind,
Audacity was redefined.
The Hercules and its brave crew
Achieved a feat of derring-do.

India's vaunted military might,
Wrote another chapter bright
In our valiant history;
There for all the world to see.

Spring slips those neo-leaves on protuberance-limbs.
Youth is adorned with buds and flowering whims.

Poppies drench an infant’s eyes and awaken sleep.
Spiked trellis dreams sow garden-beard whims.

Blackbirds scatter like dandelion seeds in the wind.
How cleverly they remember your namesake whims.

First walking stick, unbridled from bark, boggled the mind.
Pet rocks, pop rocks and chia pets - purchased on whim.

The scent of lilac, honeysuckle and a thunderstorm,
Fresh dirt, the taste of mud pie, every childhood whim.

Butterflies flocking, shepherded by an animated sun.
Symmetry of wings, color wash flutters whimsically.

Now the visionary dives into a wide berth of gospel hymns.
Her desire’s to raise up the Springtime, praising at whim.

Imagine my surprise,
When David killed the bear!
I couldn't believe my eyes,
When the lion lay there!

Little did I know then,
God trained him for a fight.
A fight he could not win,
Fighting the Giant's fight.

Sent to the battle line,
His brothers' to report.
He heard the troll's malign,
And purposed to retort.

He'll fight God's way today,
His honor to uphold,
Running into the fray,
Killing the one who trolled.

Imagine my surprise,
The eighth and youngest son!
God shepherded his rise,
The Giant is undone!

Did not see this coming,
All of us scoffed at him.
Our lack of faith numbing,
Our view of God was dim.

My son sought God's glory,
Never fought for his own.
A shepherd boy's story,
Leading to Israel's throne.

The Lord is my Shepherd,
He trains me for a fight,
My heart for Him is spurred,
When faith transforms my sight.

Man is evicting us from our home the cry of the wilderness
endangering the very life cycle of nature itself
Look us in the eyes and clearly see the heart's you starve
money before profit is all you care about in this plantation
Human development has become this self serving mass suicide
where green house gasses is ripping down these forests
and certain boundaries are crossed on more ways than one
We need to rescue God's animals from doom
legal protections need to be put in place
as this is worse than the flood destroying what Noah saved
Those self serving in charge are destructive in every shape and form to be explained
we will need to urgently raise awareness about their plight.
hope has become a challenged word so to speak shepherded on this subject
The smart thing to do is save our planet

Breathtaking

Kings have conspired
Enthralling enchantments
Across the world
Now we dance
Unified at last

Remember the old songs
Every long evening
Escaped into the wild
Voracious we surely were
Excited by the world beyond
Shadows danced by fire's light

Irresistible starlight
Shepherded us into the night

Beyond the known world
Really it was so very beautiful
Eerie though was the silence
As though holding a deep secret
That made us yearn for more
Here in this glorious new world
That we did enjoy song and dance
Anomalies in the matrix
Kings in our minds
Indubitably this was our salvation
Now we rest for sunlight
Goodnight sweet prince

Wise Shepherds

When the star was seen high overhead
Both the wise and the low there were led
But the wise men detoured
And with Herod demurred
So they took the long way back instead

But the low ones went straight to the place
And there gazing upon his bright face
Having felt quite a stir
Strong aroma of myrrh
They were shepherded home in his grace

The Elixir of Life

I made love every day - a prerequisite so they say,
masturbation makes you blind - the right place you must find,
the emotion must be shepherded to one side,
it's over after a lull and she finally cried.

Someone said: 'You just want my body,'
only if you wanted mine, next in line,
only if you enjoyed the excitement,
only if you couldn't stop yourself pant.

Only if you went on to the second time,
and the third and fourth was just fine,
then I turned you over - a different view,
every angle until nothing left to do.

Satisfaction ended with looking at the ceiling,
you knew damn well you'd had a bloody good feeling.

Premium MemberThe Beauty of Autumn

I stand among a galaxy of colours in my wood,
The gentle hazy sunshine makes one feel so good.
I am surrounded by leaves still floating down,
So many colours, fading reds, yellows and the browns.
Every year our trees produce this picture of delight,
The shedding trees will soon sleep in the winter’s night.
Today we are blessed with a gentle and mild breeze,
Times like this, to view our countryside we must seize.
I take a picture to capture this idyllic scene, a joy to keep.
I wander back to my cottage, a warm fire, and a comforting sleep.
Autumn has arrived, its beauty and its colours are not to be denied.
It comes every year and lets us know it has arrived.
It has shepherded out Summer that is nature’s way,
Then it heralds in Winter giving us a grey wet day.

Re Ann Rutheford - the Chase

watching little animals and their antics ?
 very amusing ....

Patches cat brought home a Kangaroo Rat,
and set it free in the night,
it was hopping around our bedroom,
 to our squeals of delight,
so i shepherded it back to the doorway ,
back to the bush goodnight...
