Lyric of Seraphim

I found a home in your poetry
for my sporadic melancholy
It was your music that set my heartbeat

on other occasions, it wept
like the celestial scream of seraphim
you tried to prove it to me after that

demonic insanity
strives over what we all share
that there is gloom and sorrow
as well as tomorrow.

Seraphim Blessing

He fell to earth like a meteor
wielding his fiery sword 
but unlike seraphim
he was not here to cleanse the wicked
Soulless & motherless 
he would unleash 
his wrath upon the world
A wall of flame spread out 
from the pit where he had landed
& consumed all in its path
I'm not sure which magnet 
you
   

Seraphim

Seraphim a sacred angel a heavenly being, She appeared before me in a vision with her radiant smile and golden wings consoling me in my distresses holding my hand assuring me that everything will be okay not to fear or worry with her glowing smile unquestionably seraphim is the most high’s helper.

Seraphim of Selma

Spirits of the living mingle with the dead
Nightly, joining hands to march through Selma
Dr. King, their leader, the first called home
Returns to preach peace through understanding
On streets where emotions refuse to rest

Brother John’s soul, the last to depart
Forever linked to this spectral caravan
Listen and you’ll hear their songs and prayers
Rising in unison from steamy streets
Hopeful

A Seraphim Sky

i choose to see truth
the unfolding beauty of
a seraphim sky
with two wings covering face
with two wings covering feet
with two wings hovering by
God seated on throne
the fiery purity of
a seraphim sky
true blue, celestial lift
flutter of hallelujah
bright burning of love for God

Seraphim and Cigarettes

Tired cold tar stained fingers,
cigarette of mostly ash,
the fog of ancient thoughts hang,
Eyes closed dreamless void.

The radio hum of white noise,
whispers like seraphim,
tapped ashes and empty prayers.
Dissolving to heaven. 

"Awaken you tired servant, 
can you spare a light for me?"
Eyes closed to flickering flames,
speaking to nothing.

Walk Into His Seraphim Fire

Walking into His Seraphim fire,
It burned out everything that made me a liar...
Living a life that wasn't to be mine because
The devil tried to steal my true self; tried to steal it away.
But the Lord wants to make me His bride and He called 
Into my soul that it was time to go... time to

My Seraphim

little girl who rose up
above poverty
above ignorance
above forced marriage...

little girl who rose up
little girl who grew up
grew up far too fast
grew up tough as nails
who became a woman
who became my seraphim

my seraphim who looked down
my seraphim who descended
my seraphim who took pity
and married me…

Faithful Seraphim: a Prayer of the Better Half

PRAYER OF THE BETTER HALF
(Faithful Seraphim)

When seraphs tend their ears
To prayers faithfully borne,
Oh my lips, unlock thy seal
And water the air with
The scent of my plea.

By morning and by night,
My entreaties I pour
In your sacred pouch,
To thee holy one,

That when thy sanctified wings
Flapped Upward, towards
The god’s listening ear
And thy whisper undefiled
By weighty flesh,
May they bear

little girl who had to grow up
too fast, far too fast...
who learned the ropes too fast
who learned rough, tough, gentle

who became a woman
who became a seraphim...

Sworn Unto a Seraphim

         TO  A SPIRIT SWORN

There I was in a diner dining quite alone
I recall a blond waitress whose’ name was Joan
I was sitting there un-tidy, un-happy and un-couth
And suddenly aside me sat a spirit who promised to bring  me back to my youth

And then I

Heavenly being hovering near
Appear near this fading life
Hold me dear and secure on this long
Distance trip, powered by Light
Cross over gently, hold tight

Seraphim

Bygone was a time I looked so apathetic, I saw that you had no face.
Reckoning for my past trespass comes now in listless waves.
You are the highest of the high and I could surmise why
your seraph face now haunts me.
 
To this day, fleeting eyes avert from your golden throne.
Yet, your hexadic power over me
