Premium Memberpowdered city girls

(inspired by ‘Dusty Rose Dreaming’ by poet vb)

We’re powdered city girls heading into a club,
bright orchids entering the hothouse
spreading fun with noblesse oblige,
qua somethings suited for silver screens.

Our attention’s as uncertain as the stock market.

Experts at mixing trickery and disguise,
we’re but vague summations of nature,
as we sparkling preen, like excited atoms.

Rouged and kohled to unnatural colors,
dressed in silk-whispers to tease and entice,
in neon-light, broken by par-cans, scanners
and champagne flutes, we’re superhero-like immune
to societal judgment and aghast rebuke.

In our few, fleeting nights of youth
let our voices chorus in laughter
What’s it to you? Tell the truth.

Scanned Sunday

Even as spirit leads, oh thou holy
Let canal be mindful, oh ye church
For the spirit without body wholly
Won't have total authority to perch

Considering the current happenings in town
Owo massacre isn't a movie
Hearts plights can not be measured; how so down
Yet many citizens see it groovy

Cos they have targeted plans set rolling
Paid for: reject not; hardened heart: fear not
The expense of risk in-between tolling
Whether fortune will send goodwill so hot

Eventually, most churches use scanners
To detecting English; forbid planners

Premium MemberHardware Store Versus Coronovirus

I work in the retail sector
and everyone's gone mad.
It's really very amusing.
It's really very sad.

Toilet paper and sanitizers
have flown right out the door.
Though everyone is asking
we've no idea when we'll get more.

The face masks of every type
are hoarded like they're gold.
Even the ones for dust or painting.
But those hoarders can't be told.

The painters and the contractors
are getting pretty mad
since the ones they need for their jobs
are no where to be had.

Panic is setting in
and everyone's afraid.
But off to work we go
because we just need to get paid.

The N-95 face masks
( the ones they really need)
are limited to six per customer,
a lot of whom can't read.

We wipe the counters diligently,
the keypads and scanners too.
We don't want the coronavirus
but we understand it's just a flu.

Wash your hands, don't touch your face.
It doesn't seem that tough,
and if you're sick, just stay home.
We can't emphasize this enough.

Jungle Book

lyrical animal it’s clearly tangible cannibal for poachers of animals
 radicals
discarding anything valuable to humans saving sheep from wolves waking up sleeping bulls
wolf cry’s full moon howling
I’m prowling on foot growling plans at thousands scouting riches capital
casuals mentally dead readings from my accountants notes
votes to reach breach the slanderers of souls
the polls shows the masters factors in codes
we got scanners at post
for those counterattacking combating the fold
Sold another adapter to a soul in the matrix in the back of the skull
I’m a Cheetah moving fast this cat is bold
like magnets zombies attracted to phones
cell phone towers power plants explode
a pets life in a zoo Tarzan playing jumanji let the jungle loose
they eggs in one basket Good friends with Mother goose
fear is loosh
whoosh the fowls of the air swoop down eating flesh of you

Waiting To Vote

I’ve been in line 2 hours now,
Some scanners somehow broken,
Annoyance and anxiety
Apparent but unspoken.

We inch along, a patient group,
With no way we can tell
Who’s on the side we each support
And that is just as well.

At last we are inside and now
Our ballots are in hand,
But there is an announcement
Hard to really understand.

It seems the working scanners have
Decided, too, to quit.
And do the voters like this?
They do not, one little bit!

So what to do? Each scanner has
A box within its base
Into which you slide your ballot,
Meant for using “just in case.”

The votes will be “hand-counted,”
We are shockingly assured,
Incompetence a syndrome
That, it seems, cannot be cured.

In 3 hours’ time, I cast my vote
But left there in dismay
That such a thing should happen
With technology today.

A Shining Satellite

A Godsend, a child, our gift from On High.
Lord bless this one, all he can and must be.
Eternal, now our name will never die--
High flying creation of you and me.

Our greatest design, the plan is perfect
Build sturdy engines that jet to the top.
He must understand his future is set
Why won’t he cooperate? This must stop.

Ready for flight, geocentric orbit.
Dance in the cosmos, yet be sure it’s near.
High nerves in Houston, they note in a fit,
Escape velocity from this dim sphere.

Rocket off our scanners; what shall we do?
Bricks in the cargo of ship number two.

Unease

Many things can cause unease:
Heights, the dark, loud noises, fleas;
Crowded places, public speaking,
Rocking chairs that won’t stop squeaking.

Body odor, traffic, roaches;
Birthdays as old age approaches.
Vampire movies, tunnels, rats;
Caves with tons of flying bats.

Spiders, lightning, doctors, death;
Elevators, garlic breath.
Fire, bedbugs, snakes and worms;
Subways, strangers, germs, germs, germs!

Clowns, exams, a first-time date;
Flying, swimming, gaining weight.
Airport scanners, roller coasters;
Bridges, missing children posters.

Each of us becomes obsessed
With what it takes to make us stressed.
What’s strange is that my bugaboo
Most likely will not bother you!

Hello Do I Know You

"Hello Do I Know You" (I do know you)
Written By: Rodney Riggins

Hello how are you? Do I know you?
This feeling is happening for a reason
as if it was meant to be. Quite frankly
I believe it is. Your voice spreads over the
airwaves like a warm soul in the wildrness.
I think I can identify you because are
instincts are too much alike.

It's more than a concidence because I feel
It's not an accident that we are a part of
each others lives. Another who share my feelings
and understand me for who I'am and what I
stand for and how I want to live. Hello do you
hear me as I release all the tention that's
inside of me to breathe easily and freely
into the fresh air.

Everyone has problems but handle certain
situations in a different manner we connect
long distance without mirrors or reflection
detection or radial scanners. Hello are you
my twin when even then I need protection
as a young male with no guidance. An
individual who I not known for over
a decade something was missing still
it was mention and brought to my
attention that it was you.

Better late than never so glad to be
together rather have it no other way
but to say I love you My Sister
Hello I do know you.

Premium MemberThe Scammer

Deception in the form of lies

Untruths unknown to no bound

Deciet that becomes concrete

A snare meant to trap its prey

Unknowingly, unsuspected get caught

The wise and cunning

Will see thru what is presented

In the web some will get caught

Others will not

If it is a scam you find

Scanners like to play with your mind
