Trabaho

Trabaho, kailangan ng lahat ng tao
Upang kumita ng pera na pambili
Ng mga pagkain at ng mga gamit
Dapat na ibigay ito sa lahat ng tao

Huwag ng maging sakim ang mga
nasa gobyerno at namumuhunan

Coffee shops, malls, hotels, salons

Ibuhos ang pera sa kaban ng bayan
Paagusin tulad ng sa mga lawa na
umaagos sa mga ilog at mga talon
papuntang karagatan at kalangitan

Ibubuhos muli ng langit sa mundo
Upang umagos muli sa mga sapa,
paulit ulit na ganyan din dapat ang
Trabaho, na paulit ulit sa mga tao

Graves of Our Fathers

The Black Hills are crying,
our Mother forsaken

Enemy boot prints
where moccasins claim

To live just to die
in noble futility

All drums beat in silence
—He Sapa in shame

Ilog Na Hindi Natutuyo Ang Agos

Ilog na hindi natutuyo ang agos,
Pinagtularan sa biyaya ng Diyos;
Malinaw na tubig na dumadausdos,
Bumubukal at hindi nga nauubos.

Huwag wawasakin ang likas na yaman,
Kapalit ng walang habas na minahan;
Kapag nagalit ang nasa kalangitan,
Magdudulot ito ng kapahamakan.

Pagputol ng puno sa bundok at gubat,
Ang mga pagbaha ay ito ang ugat;
Pagguho ng lupa'y huwag ikagulat,
Dahil ang daigdig ay batbat ng lamat.

Dapat nating mahalin ang mga sapa,
Upang makinabang ang matanda't bata;
Magkaisa tayo't huwag magpabaya,
Maging Pilipino ka man o banyaga.

Tagtuyot man ay dumating at kumilos,
Ay hindi ka maliligalig na lubos,
Magandang dako na dapat mong matalos,
Ilog na hindi natutuyo ang agos.

Paha-Sapa

Run! Run!
My pony sweet butterfly
And carry me over Paha-Sapa!

Run! Run!
My sweet butterfly
Where the feet cannot touch
The soft grass pregnant of floating-flitting
Gulches!

Run! Run!
My sweet butterfly
Don't let us to see all things come apart.
Paha-Sapa! Paha-Sapa!

My land, my sacred land still,
Where the ground hunting
Beating my body, so old and calm,
To them, when I am waiting
There to die!

Here All History Shades

My history beckons like the Prairies
Dry towns. Cute and fierce,
	Fearless and enslavement,
As the likeness on the Platte,
	The Powder, the Niobrara,
	the Tongue, the Snake,
The Yellowstone, who, as an American buffalo,
	Strange moonlight, explode
With gigantic waves!

My history beckons like a halfway
Body of Missouri River and the Rockies,
Like the Paha-Sapa, the Black Hills of Sioux!
The delighted night of long dance and tales!

	My history beckons, oh powerless!
As the magic, mightily sport beyond
	The thunderbird
Of the clean range of souls and heats
As the unimaginable size of American bison!

Envious Sky

.

overcast sky broods, darkens, threatens
crystal creek tumbles, splashes, sparkles

       "nagalugitom sa dag-om ang kalangitan
         nagalukso-ambak, nagkidlapkidlap ang sapa"

might be the sky envies the creek's mirth,
the frolic of butterflies and damselflies

"basig nasina ang langit sa kalipay ug hudyaka
sa mga alibangbang ug tapuri nga nagdula-dula,"

that fly and flit and tease the gleaming ripples
near glades of green and flowers in bloom

         "nagsaoy-saoy, nagsakdapsakdap sa tin-awng tubig
           lunhawng kasagbutan ug mabulokong kabulakan?"

frolic and fun.."paghudyaka? pagmaya?"
spite and envy.."pagkamaigihon? pagkamasinahon?"

Discouraged

Jera

Aku terus berjalan dibelakangmu
Yang tampak hanya punggungmu
Inginku merengkuhmu tapi ku tak mampu, kasihku
Inginku menyapamu namun ku tak sanggup, cintaku
Haruskah hasratku terpenuhi hanya dengan pandangi punggungmu?

Aku sangat ingin menatap wajahmu
Terengkuh kedalam peluk dadamu
Namun ku takut
Karena jeraku pada gagal
Karena jeraku pada luka
Duka karena cinta
Maaf kasih, kuhanya kan sapa punggungmu…

Discouraged

I keep on walking behind you
Your back is all I eye-sense, very true
I’d like to reach you in my stalking, darling
I want to say hi but it’s stopped in cries, honey
Should my passion be fulfilled,
Only by seeing your back in wilt?

I’m dying to see your face,
Got reached into your warmth
But I’m too afraid to embrace
Cos my discouraged hasn't been calmed
Cos my scared of scratched heart,
Of my past mourning love
I’m sorry for me, can never go onward
The dearest, only your back can see my love dove
