The Option

When life brings us what it brings us

We must never ignore the option of UP

Look up

Get up

Stand up

Sit up

Climb up

Lift up

Firm up

Rise up

Step up

Rouse up

Stir up

Move up

Scale up

Gather up

Regardless of what life brings us

Recovery follows when we explore the option of UP

Who Dares Rouse Leviathan

Who dares rouse Leviathan,
the Giant beneath the heaving deeps?
This world now teams with Ahabs
whose heaping anger never sleeps.
Each one wants to hook its jaw
and each to press its tongue;
to try its rich and fragrant oil
and see it bound and beached and dumb.

Poor soul captains on fragile ships
vainly sharpening the barbless spear.
The Whale scoffs beneath the waves,
rising to teach all wisdom through fear.

Soon the Brute will breach and blow
and send each Pequod down below.

Silence stung me in the darkness**
                                   Would a pure sound impede the spirit?

Rouse Oh Hushed Soul -Rev2

What happens when the great men of old are all turned to stone with no voice to hear;
when their worried plight and trouble fight, we no longer care to bear?
With their deeds of past and memories cast, in silent tomes laid for none to read;
Have we left our speckled souls, weak with woes for the wolves to feed?
Was not their image cast for more to last than park or monument to decorate?
Or are we deceived that we ever believed their precious cost tied to our fate?
Awaken quiet liberty and freewill, rouse We the People, I fear you lulled to sleep.
And in all your days find the ways to bring their memory to us to keep.

We diverted from our path.
Pausing to stroke the bush
Stirring feathers
amidst the weather
She rouses from her mid-day slumber
Shrugging off the broken doze
Of her much-needed sleep
She strained to whisper
Just like a trickster
Struggling to pick
The words that glitter
She created many magical paths
Hoping to shorten our journeys
Waving a finger like a wandering pin
Circling around a compass
We pondered with fretting feet
Wondering if to end this pending feat
Amidst a screaming timeline
we screen the closing pathway
As we envision an ending journey

Rouse

Lines 1-2:
generally a request,
a plea or a confession rooted in his disregard for his own feelings
/his lack of self-respect;
Lines 3-6:
repeat of the request,
plea or confession from Line 1,
this time with altered details,
causing often a drastic extension of the thought;
Lines 7-11:
attempted 'volta',
changes feel, often posing a question
in order to gain sympathy of the reader;
Last Line:
dramatically minimalistic statement,
attempts to shock the reader/invoke feelings of desperation on his part,
often utilizes vulgarity;
(f uck this;
he's done with patterns.)

Premium MemberThe Haunted House, Bubba Rouse and the Mouse

One day at a haunted house....
You'll never guess what I saw!!!
Well, it was a great big ghost...
Coming out of the wall!

The ghost just stared at me...
So I stared at it too..
And I thought..."This just couldn't be?!!"
Until that ghost yelled BOO!!

After it yelled BOO! at me!
I ran all the way up the stairs!
And guess what else...."I did see!"
Ghosts nearly everywhere!!

Then at me they came a flying!!
They kept on yelling BOO!!
and I almost felt like crying...
Until I yelled my BOO!!!!

After I yelled my BOO!!!!
You should've seen them run!
Now let me tell you!
I've never had so much fun!!

So then I left that old haunted house...
And went walking down the street..
When up to me came a little mouse...
And the mouse said..."Trick or Treat!"

So I asked the mouse, "What's with this Trick or Treat?"
"Just what the heck do ya mean?"
Then the mouse said...."Give me something to eat!"
"Don't ya know Bubba it's Halloween!!"

The Rouse...

Had my eyes opened
today...

...I guess we only see
what we want to see...

...mistaken identity...
...mistaken loyalty...

...oh what a fool...
...this woman unprepared...

...now she will scorn...
...lavish the air with words...
provoked beware...

your actions will not defeat
...for this I release...

...I will wait my friend come sit
beside me...my own loyal quality...
my own discrete...
