was this text part of an ancient scroll?
the meaning was clear to no one
the beauty is in the ambiguity of the piece
I stared at the other archeologist
what did he mean by this?
Was he covering his ignorance?
I figured this might be it
we need another Rosetta Stone my companion said
then we would understand
I did not think that would do it
not only was it ambiguous, it was unclear and cloudy
perhaps written by a person with a mental illness
I kept this to myself, feeling a bit superior to them

I'm writing my heart out clean tonight; my
Mask only read in your mummified veins;
I join your heart in its breaking's right—
I'd not meant you to be alone; these days.
I still grasp your dawn on me you made.
The hieroglyphics of your world
That never ciphered more a lovely soul—
The feminine Phoenix's winged image
By my heart and yours; though a crashed port—
Do we not still speak the same language

Meaningless squiggles and wiggles
Noted for decades
Without collaborated meaning
Rosetta Stone discovered at last
The missing correlation
Brilliance of a Wise mind
Ancient abstract squiggles
Consolidated wiggles
Revealed under desert sand
Proof of ones or ones
Who cared and dared shared
Translation key to the world

It's brilliant how one seguays into the next, flashing on the
pennon of this new-age attempt to plagerise the etch-a-sketch, and
if you watch closely, if
you count your bits and bites, your digital copies of digital recordings transferred from
magnetic tape and stones chisled with ideograms and heiroglyphic symbols-
maybe you'll find that in a hundred years we will no longer express ideas in vowels and
consonents, clumsy representations of the noises made by oscillating tissues and shifting
palletes-
Prepare to discard your medium for storage
your verbatim verbal fencing weapon is dulled and oxidized-
prepare to shed truth and solidarity.
Press any key for ecstasy. (5.99aminuteforthefirstfiveminutes)

You’re my Rosetta Stone
you make everything
make sense to me
A rising light
unto my heart
Shine your smile
into my eyes
once more
So that I may see
all that I’ve ever
longed to be
I’ve been waiting
so long for you
I’ve built who
I want to be
around you
Off into the distance,
far out at sea,
or up into the heavenly skies
past the points of infinity
my love for you can dwell
as it knows no limits
Hope and happiness
flow through my veins
with the love of your lips
or a touch of your hand
Watch our souls
as they intertwine,
as yours becomes
one with mine
Always they shall be together
like your hand in mine
Til the end of time
you shall be mine
My love
My life
My one
My only
Forever
