How tensely fraught with nerves was Rory
When entered in the Masters again
Never before there a victory
Rather his efforts had all been in vain
Right there his head had to be OK
To don the green jacket there and then

Eulogy of Diamond Dee
We were all a bit FASCINATED by the COMPLACENT Diamond Dee.
She maneuvered us like puppets, and I mean all of us, not just some.
Her INVOLVEMENT with men and women was well known in Lee.
Mysterious INTRIGUE paraded with her, said more than one bum.
I am not terrific at IMAGERY but let me try to set the scene.
Evanescent jewels and sequins arrived from an INFATUATION.
Due to her pretending to be bullied by the POIGNANT and the mean.
She was the master of the criminal go-to skill of MANIPULATION.
One thing we all knew about Diamond Dee, and some spoke of it.
Her COMPLACENT attitude was nigh onto self-congratulatory.
Her eulogy was much like her obituary, full of laughter and a bit of wit.
For it was presided over by one of her ex-lovers, my Great Uncle Rory.

Our eldest grandson is called Rory
who likes a book with a good story
to read by a light
at bed time each night
so long as the plot is not gory.
Now Toby is his younger brother
with pink as his favourite colour.
When he feels cross inside
he runs far and wide
until he's had time to recover.
* * *
Rex the eldest brother so clever
was ready for any endeavour,
but when he got lost
he got very cross,
though he kept on searching for whatever.
Second is a fidgety boy called Ted
who wriggled until he fell out of bed.
He fell to the floor
and cried with a roar,
so his Mummy knew he wasn't dead.
Kit the youngest, just a little mite,
has eyes very dark and yet so bright.
As he throws his shoe
he'll glance up at you
with a mischievous look of delight.

Here am I sitting on the grassy hilltop
with Rory always my buddy at my side
enjoy my packed sandwich cheese and ham
Rory's hoping for a bite so likes to confide
Your dog can read your line of thought
Rory even knows the moving of my lips
there's a telepathy between the two of us
especially when he's thirsty for water he sips
Looking away above the clouds
following the line of my kite
thinking what if that was me up there
except when it was dark at night
To be in the clouds looking down
seeing all the beauty all around
travelling east and west forever in flight
listening to the birds chirping sweet sounds
But eventually we'd have to come down
the body needs food especially my buddy
so better to enjoy it up here when we can
airs so fresh leaves skin somewhat ruddy!
(This is taken from a picture, a fictional story of me and my dog Rory sitting on a hilltop thinking our thoughts.)

It's one thing to make a promise
When there's more than enough
'Another thing to keep it
As the going gets tough
When it comes to hard times
We've had more than our share
These days, when it seems
Every couple we know
Are breaking hearts...
Just letting love go
They can't seem to find
A reason to ....care
She does....
She stands by my side
Giving all that she has
Her arms open wide
She does....
What it takes to go on
In a world where commitment
Doesn't last very long...
We're still together....
Stronger than ever...
And it's all because.......
She didn't just say
I do...that day...
She does
When my confidence is shaking
'Like an old man's hand
When the rock she leans on..
Feels more like the sand
When I need to be inspired...
And I think nobody can...
She does.....
She stands...by my side.....

Chorus:
Please Mr Moon....Mr Moon.....
Paint a romantic glow
While I hold her close
Don't be blue
Oh Mr Moon....Mr Moon.....
I don't need a lucky star
To win her heart....
I've got you
I brought her here tonight
I knew you'd be shining bright
And if she was having doubts
I knew that you......
Could help me out
Repeat Chorus:
Mr Moon, you can change the tides
I know you can make her mine
Send down a magic beam
And she will fall.....
In love with me
Repeat Chorus & tag

A Teenager Helps His Mother With the Internet
By Elton Camp
Rory’s mom was new to the Internet
The abbreviations she didn’t get
“ROTFL, WTF, STFU I see everywhere.
Explain them, dear, if you don’t care.”
She expected him to help her out
That she’d approve Rory did doubt
So an explanation he wrote out
To say what they were about
“Really Ought To Fix Lunch
Is why you see that a bunch.”
“Well That’s Fantastic care shows
Thus, you will see lots of those.”
“Sorry, Thanks For Understanding too.
For kind words these letters will do.”
So his mom began to use ‘em on Facebook
Soon, for Rory, she began to angrily look
“Those abbreviation you taught me
Are nothing but a lie, I’ve come to see!”
“I used them with the preacher’s wife.
I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life.”

Tiger, tiger don’t be sad
Last week Rory beat you bad
Now you both really look green
World cup holes are really mean.
