A Teenager Helps His Mother With the Internet
A Teenager Helps His Mother With the Internet
By Elton Camp
Rory’s mom was new to the Internet
The abbreviations she didn’t get
“ROTFL, WTF, STFU I see everywhere.
Explain them, dear, if you don’t care.”
She expected him to help her out
That she’d approve Rory did doubt
So an explanation he wrote out
To say what they were about
“Really Ought To Fix Lunch
Is why you see that a bunch.”
“Well That’s Fantastic care shows
Thus, you will see lots of those.”
“Sorry, Thanks For Understanding too.
For kind words these letters will do.”
So his mom began to use ‘em on Facebook
Soon, for Rory, she began to angrily look
“Those abbreviation you taught me
Are nothing but a lie, I’ve come to see!”
“I used them with the preacher’s wife.
I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life.”
