Naked Legacy

I taste the beating of your heart
As truth drizzles onto my soul
Daring me to challenge this equation
That turns two pieces into one whole

I embrace a broken mirror
As I am claimed by torment beyond measure
Calling me to face the rigors of this legacy
But instead I run toward pathways of twisted pleasures

I am adrift on a raft of exasperation
As my kidneys' secrets are revealed
Moving me along with sweet defiance
Yet I can't deny this stinging that I feel

I step on a muted diamond
Then blood trickles from my feet
Washing the shackles from my being
Releasing me from this lie of ambiguity

Chaines

Uncooperative
self reliant
unhelpful or
unwilling to asit
often done to
achieve benevolent
goalies
prioritizing the
well being of others over
the well being of ones self.

A great dancer both were
they made the jealous fool admitt.
Both are great dancers
but I wish him to
quit their alliance
and be part of mine
anything else is seen as
foolish and unproductive.
Due to the rigors of time
and finding love with another
he came to his senses
and reached out to those
who wished him apart of
there dance team
they met, they agreed, they
rehearsed, they developed a routine
something performers
would envy and what audiences
would demand.
They met at the right time
in there life before
they were to mean
from the rigors of experience
to see a future that
would included one another
There next obstacle was
finding the right sound
to be the backdrop
for the Movement of Collaborative

The Sale

A keyboard gigolo
works on his profile.
He photoshops a younger him,
plastering the Net
with his winsome smile.

Is he very different
than the little lies
we share in real time?

Best face forward,
but under our hands
we are digitizing
a pseudo existence.
one more acceptable
to the rigors
of a life-long
hard sell.

Premium MemberSo Long To Philosophy and Theology

Marymount University is saying farewell to some storied majors
including Art, English, Philosophy, Theology - and Math

Artists will starve or survive, and Writers on AI can thrive
Philosophy's rigors are lost on the West today
Theology to moderns hasn't overmuch to say...

But Mathematics?! - the basis for physics
not to mention ALL of computing
~ For her restoration, I am assuredly rooting!

Premium MemberSpring Not All Sunshine

Springtime is more than just flowers and sun.
April is drenched, and bees will have much fun.
Swarming insects frighten with bites and harm.
A staining sludge swamp and stinky silt farm.

Sneeze and hay heat-stinging eyes are a curse.
Lands that loom like orbs, yet deceits are worse.
Yet, we must not squander sight of quaintness
with the rigors that spring brings or faintness.

Berth booms boost pollination burden rood.
Spring is spasmodic, apart from the mood.
White snow morphs into mushy rolling hills.
And sprinkle down verve up till the dale spills,

Flowers rising from snowfall restore hope.
Were we blithe beyond the zenith and slope?

hanging tenuously from tree branch the ripe object of temptation

sunlight peeks through the hill trees signaling arrival of a new day

more a curse than a blessing, less a decision than affirmation

worn leather valise undergoes the rigors of final journey

faded granite marker put in position two hundred years ago

no matter how tight we cling to existence, it shall leave us behind

dark silence of ornate gilded nave constrained angst for generations

always shall be the prospect of something beyond our imagining

hiking along the high trail yields broad vistas of surrounding islands

suffering through the high-pitched howling of a bitter northerly wind

desiring to ensure that the lies which I tell myself are harmless

better a fond memory than just another imperfect being

within life's confines, relevance has ever been a moving target

Your Bad Habits Can Gather Dust

Your bad habits gather dust,
When your decision is ‘A Must’,
All Vanishing like A Ghost
Between The Least and The Most,
All of them fizzling out;
Not a lurking Doubt,

Then, you can work towards it,
The Task judging The Fit;
On your lifestyles leper white
Pouncing to make them paper white …

A renewed interest in The Good Life,
Through The Rigors of Unflagging Strife;
A high regard for cooperation,
A steadfast Eye on Moderation.
The Fire of Zeal much heightened
Your lips at their edges tightened.

Hope of Life

Cold wind blows through the winter trees
As snow like cottons covered the Streets,
And I was feeling the harsh cold breeze,
and let them rivet my anguish fragilities.
Bearing the rigors of life in the desire,
that one day my luminous of fate will radiant.

My Adopted Burg

Once upon a time I saw the vibrant
Roses on your streets, festooning both sides.
Now some of those appear wilted, as if
Mauled by a virulent strain of fungus.

Now I see frosted feet seeking cover,
Marooned in river of woes flooding streets.
I see them pushing their stuffed shopping cart
to better grounds to escape the rigors.

Magnolia-lined boulevards still criss-
Cross forbidden avenues, passing through
Manicured grounds of opulent bungalows,
Trimmed with the sharp tools of gardeners:

Still stand prim and proper. Gardeners fear
Master's fierce dog-whistle. Still plot to
Be on the level ground to realize
The recurrent dream of whiffing fragrance

On the other side of gulf. Which they can
Only guess since their senses are muffled.

Premium MemberEarnest Labour of Love

Earnest labour of love for reaching-out pursuits
constrained* by Christ with His grace, keeps bearing fruits…
…unmasking shallow commitment.

Sincere care midst blissful selfishness toward relief-giving
exposes hypocrisy lurking in devotion’s disguise…
…abasing flippant, skin-deep service.

Dedicated ministerial life-building endeavours
stay triumphant midst rigors so challenging…
…propelling the faithful with peace.

Joyous worship along praise-anchored gratitude
blesses heart for blissful faith performance…
…melting pride’s seething intensity.

Serene fulfillment of granted life eternal pleases the Lord
Who deserves the best that can never be faked…
…defying deceitfulness' utmost.

Premium MemberBeloved Shantelle

Precious more than gem stone of great measure
Darling Shantelle as God’s gift is family treasure
Midst rigors of adoption-pressure
Her presence is a delightful pleasure.

Young girl nurtured with loving care
Pretty Shantelle is generous to share
Melting stone-hearted bullies causing scare
By her compassion, promoting kindness’ welfare.

Now as a lady marked by virtuous gesture
Beloved Shantelle marches with bridal posture
Along her groom blissfully toward marriage venture
Ready to build home upon rock and stone* of faithfulness stature.

*Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.

Things Happen
Written: by Miracle Man

In life, things happen, adding to my rigors,
and holidays usher in, thoughts that I dread.
Christmas and Birthdays often become triggers,
rather than joy I feel depression instead.

I know that God, doesn't render me this feeling,
but sometimes I wonder why I remain here.
As time marches on, I feel time I’m stealing.
awaiting God’s rapture when I’ll disappear.

Premium MemberI Look Unto Christ

I look unto Christ, faith’s Author so sure
Redeemer of my soul by His great grace
Granting me everlasting life’s treasure
As His heir blessed by His divine embrace.

While running along spiritual track
I look unto Christ, faith’s Author so sure
Knowing that in Him, I will never lack
Since sufficient supply He does assure.

Against rigors of stewardship pressure
My steps keep pursuing paths He had set
I look unto Christ, faith’s Author so sure
While I lay aside sin-weights that beset.

Trekking toward jubilant victory
My heart delights in the Saviour’s pleasure
Worshipping, exalting His name’s glory
I look unto Christ*, faith’s Author so sure.

*Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…

The Abyss

My grieving heart is powerless to quell
the rigors of life in this world that I dwell
haunted by hate for having loved too well,
I don’t know what this journey will foretell.

And now I suffer a fate worse than hell
To love passionately and dare not to tell,
While my damned demons howl and yell
these benumbing fears my voice curtail.

Pursued by spirits of darkest night may impel
before long my poor soul will be hauled to hell
that no harrowing abyss on earth can parallel
and no wizard can break this most awful spell.

Did I turn my eyes away from God that I fell
into this accursed abyss, this bottomless well?
Henceforth, with a heavy heart I bid farewell
to find a higher plane for my soul to dwell.
