Notes About The Poem

Spring Not All Sunshine

Springtime is more than just flowers and sun. April is drenched, and bees will have much fun. Swarming insects frighten with bites and harm.  A staining sludge swamp and stinky silt farm.  Sneeze and hay heat-stinging eyes are a curse.  Lands that loom like orbs, yet deceits are worse. Yet, we must not squander sight of quaintness  with the rigors that spring brings or faintness. Berth booms boost pollination burden rood. Spring is spasmodic, apart from the mood. White snow morphs into mushy rolling hills. And sprinkle down verve up till the dale spills, Flowers rising from snowfall restore hope. Were we blithe beyond the zenith and slope?

Congratulations on your win. A wonderful write/picture. Watch out for the bees, for they will sting. I love Spring even with the good/bad. Have a great/blessed day......................

Spring is not all glitter. There are darker sides to it like excess rain, making lands muddy, swarming insects, flu and other fever.... ! We cannot close our eyes to the two sides of the coin. A beautiful entry doing full justice to the subject ! All the Best, dear friend!

Yes indeed--the rain, the insects--amid vibrant beauty of spring diminish the glory of spring. Aptly on theme, my friend

So true but I think all seasons have their good and bad. Great argument. Best for a win.

I read so much into this one Lasaad. In the end it was hope but so true your words the negative side of spring is hardly ever mentioned. You did a wonderful job of writing. Nicely done my friend always a pleasure to read your fine work. Thank you for sharing...
