Premium MemberA Personal Touch Valentine

A Candy Storefront window, a passerby pauses briefly at the array of heart-shaped enwrapped in velvet reds, filled with sweet treats like years before. The same tricks deployed as the byway take point passing a park. Then a heaven-sent gift the gentle walker, drifts a spun floater being a dove's solitaire wing. A hand reaches down and gathers it up in mental discourse. In brevity breathes deeply, and exhales soothingly. Contented, the gentle walker heads back to town, where an empty crimson velour box is bought, he makes one more stop before heading back home with a frozen smile. Amidst the expected backdrop scene where two fluted glasses filled with Dom Perignon Champagne atop a white-silk-covered small round table that graces two silver candle holders, pre-lit. The significant other donning a maroon single-piece nightdress is presented a box. He sits as she opens the box and oddly looks. As he explains his day's escapade freed him from the rigamarole being rhetorical, he lastly gifts her with a smaller box. She opens built-up with a hint of suspense that shreds away to tears. She looks up to the penitent soul while holding a solitaire diamond ring.

"Friends Attend Contend  #1"

What are we doing here
in the middle of nowhere,
we're following that guy there
he's the one who brought us here,

He doesn't look Jewish, not even close-up!
Go tell him to prove it, just have him unzip her.
All this rigamarole,
gathers the foolish
in the twenty-first century,
all this bruhaha
like a kerfuffle
not like a thingamajig
that's more like an object
I don't know why I'm subjecting
myself in his delusion
looney, that's the ticket
I was looking for.

Premium MemberI Felt Your Love

I felt your love within my soul;
fueling passion in my heart.
Though hope's known to levy a toll,
I fell in love right from the start.

Now, nothing can keep us apart;
for fate is in complete control.
And whenever we had to part,
I felt your love within my soul.

Facing daunting days dark as coal,
you were my guiding light, sweetheart.
I was broken; you made me whole,
fueling passion in my heart.

You didn't hit pause or press restart,
unlike lovers playing a role.
Offering my heart a jumpstart,
I felt your love within my soul.

It seemed an impossible goal,
fueling passion in my heart.
Yet, despite the rigamarole,
I had found my soul's counterpart.

When love is real, doubts depart,
and we often laugh and cajole.
My silhouette, to you, is art,
holding hands on a moonlight stroll,
I felt your love.

Faith's journey of exploration,
helps us to see life's suspension
as its completion, not its end,
creation, includes ascension.

Learn how to distinguish a friend
from grifters who only pretend.
And let love fill your heart with hope,
for Faith avows that souls ascend.

Experience life; don't just cope,
balance anxiety's tightrope;
and let trust keep you in control;
even on a slippery slope.

Forget the church's rigamarole,
there is no shortcut, no loophole.
Life's a cacophony of sounds;
hear them within both heart and soul.

Premium MemberHear the Angels Sing

My heart starts to pound when I am near you,
a reflex response I cannot control.
And passion's flame intensifies, too,
excited by all the rigamarole.

You need but smile, and my spirit takes wing,
soaring on thermals of a rising love.
And I swear I can hear the angels sing,
celebrating your beauty from above.

You opened my eyes and taught me to see
that love never seeks to fault or to blame.
And I thank you for all you've done for me;
as desire's embers, spark passion's flame.

Like two missing halves of the other's soul;
together, we are one, and we are whole.

Nobel Lionized Matriarchy

Freely forming metrical mainstays
poetic occasion to phrase
the fairer and gentler sex,
thus the following turns of phrase
to bestow acknowledgement

regarding wonderful wise ways
of collective she who assays
to create safe/secure home/ hearth
as bedrock and fount of ample
maternal duties tiredly sashays

with keeping house receiving praise
the second Sunday each May, her
tired body sprawled on chaise
lounge, perhaps basking in solar rays
communing with Gaia, who whiz
bruiting with sky goddess

defying forecasters prediction, no slate grays
pose dampening effect on huzzahs
regaling torchbearer diploid as amaze
zing newlife, where loving labor pays
more than fine spun gold cherishing
offspring in her nurturing ways.

Paean dutiful daily deference, I dole
ensconced with pineapple getup
surfing the cyber sea, this hyperbowl
lee, yet deserved dignity deifying dames,
who bear brunt whole
ding potent biological reproductive role

de facto duty honorably decreed
tribute paid despite commercialized
money making hyped up rigamarole,
nonetheless yours truly accentuates sole
sans, progenitor of human race
saddled with disproportionate/ unfair toll.

Pass the Buck

Sometimes
I wish I didn't have a soul
So I could skip the whole
rigamarole
of do this do that;
do that do this,
else taste the bland abyss,
b*tch.
Lotta friends'a mine worried
bout my supernatural
sanctity;
If only they knew how little
I cared.
Last time I checked my
soul cavity,
there wasn't nothin'
there.
