July 20 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Proverbs 24-26
Key Verse – Proverbs 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR ADMONISHING US
TO FEAR HIM REVERENTIALLY
Praise be to God for admonishing us to
fear Him reverentially to overcome:
Mischievous persons with their meddling pestilence
Mishandled pressures due to mocking pleasures
Mismatched plans midst misbehaving posture
Mistaken plaudits caused by mystifying ploys
Misjudged pursuits along melting poverty
Proverbs 25:22 Praise be to the Lord for
rewarding us for our:
Heart of honour
Hope against hell
Help for the helpless
Hunger toward holiness
Hatred against haughtiness
Proverbs 26:10 Praise be to the Saviour for
rewarding us toward:
Victory from being a victim
Venture that vies over void vices
Virtuous vanquishing with our vow
Valuable vigour against vicious vanity
Valiant voyage against voluminous vexations. Amen!

Religious dogma, be it any faith,
any handed down belief,
any once sincere doctrine
now has but one purpose
and that is to
hide God from yourself.
By doing so
it controls your freedom
of self-inquiry,
demands that your blind faith
is better than seeing, than knowing.
Religion wants you to seek
but never find,
to follow a ritualistic way
and be awed by the path ahead
but never take that path.
All religions have great truths in them,
but the greatest truths are deliberately buried
too deep for the faithful to find.
until they come to see
that crumbling wall around their own power of knowing,
That those notions of hell and sin
are a religiosity created only by fear.
If you have to,
respectfully, reverentially,
break that doctrinal wall down,
and not one ancient brick at a time
but in one hammer blow
of adamantine of insight.
I
Awed by God
Awe is good
For Holy God
Don't be scared
You'll be heard
II
Awed by God
My prayers flawed
Devotions without verses
Or His Words
Biblical living waters
Go before God
Fearlessly; reverentially awed

GREATEST IDEA YET
IF HUMANLY CREATED
A HEAVENLY FATHER
JESUS'S EARTHLY MOTHER
HE USED "ABBA"
INTIMACY INDICATED THEREBY
if only humans
Will go, quietly
To talk intimately
With the Universe
Though HUMANLY perverse
Barriers we'd traverse
Healed we converse
Triumph of immortality over mortality!
Resurrection of Jesus, we commemorate fondly;
Reassessing all virtues, who, gave new morality...!
Romans and Jews found Jesus pattern of legality,
Paving firm foundations for new values that could lead promptly;
Triumph of immortality over mortality!
Pontius Pilate, with his decorum and formality,
Handed over the savior of mankind nonchalantly,
Reassessing all virtues, who, gave new morality...!
Crowds, who sang hosanna once, now in rough brutality,
Demanded death, though heavenly Father designed so kindly;
Triumph of immortality over mortality!
They crushed him; crucified him with all abnormality,
Buried him in deepest of grave; as though very rudely;
Reassessing all virtues, who, gave new morality...!
Jesus knew, his divine father would reverentially,
Resuscitate him and reassure him so graciously;
Triumph of immortality over mortality!
Reassessing all virtues, who, gave new morality...!

Our gran used to make us soup,
A steaming golden broth.
It stood out like a work of art,
Against the pearl white table cloth.
Full of carrot, peas and lentils
And leek of emerald green,
It was the most colourful soup
That I had ever seen.
Expectantly, there we sat
Around the dining table.
Eagerly waiting for our soup,
As gran wielded the ladle.
Into the giant soup pan,
She dipped the mighty spoon.
We sat there reverentially,
It couldn't come too soon.
Finally all our bowls were filled,
And gran said "carry on"
And to the sound of happy slurping,
The soup was quickly gone.
And the cemetery was a picture of serenity
A heavenly place your descendants resting place.
An angel with a broken wing stared down reverentially
on lost generations and delivers her final grace
Gods acre, where a lake of tears as been shed
in remembrance of the dead.
it echo's with a vicars prayers and wailing relatives.
When dusk descends and souls rise, and bats fill the skies
you can feel the spirits wake, and the living are replaced
with ghostly apparitions of the dead

Pulling chairs and holding doors
are gestures of respect
I cling to reverentially,
actions that o'ershadow intellect.
In times long gone I'd doff my hat
and dress in spats and bow-tie
to woo a damsel with dispatch,
a wink, a nod, to catch her eye.
Nowadays, old-fashioned graces
often meet with glares askance,
with worried and suspicious faces
I don't get a second glance.
Pulling chairs and holding doors
are gestures of respect
I cling to reverentially,
emotion, that beggars intellect.
In times long gone I'd doff my hat
and dress in spats and bow-tie
to woo a damsel with dispatch,
a wink, a nod, to catch her eye.

often meet with glares askance,
with worried and suspicious faces
I don't get a second glance!
