A Perfect Murder

I stabbed
straight into her heart
then wiggled the knife,
twisted and turned.
The blood oozed out
covering the blade and
my hand in scarlet red.

She gave a blood-curdling
shriek and moaned.
She looked at me with sheer terror,
There was a crazy look
in my inflamed eyes
My chest was all puffed up
and heaving badly
My body trembling with pent-up rage
I gave her a vile sneer;

And then…
She could hold it back no longer
and burst out laughing
When she saw
the retractable toy knife
and a couple of ketchup pouches
in my hand.

Death On Mars

the astronaut follows in silence
the trace of the beacon lights on the platform floor.
in front of him, the beautiful and sinister steel dome
floats supported by element 115.
the dome gates slide in pairs
at the top of the retractable ladder
and while the hangar resounds its footsteps,
softly the ship welcomes him.
he leaves and knows that those two satellites
are deimos and phobos,
but he doesn't find the landing boots,
the helmet has cracks that expand non-stop
and he forgets which buttons he should press.
there is no god there
to bless this spectacular death
and about those hands that didn't wave goodbye,
he doesn't like to remember.
today is one of those days
in which we are not in ourselves,
he thought,
still seeing the ship plummeting to mars.
days when we leave ourselves at home dreaming,
or that we send our image up front
so that we can wait for ourselves.
he regrets,
but it's time to give up,
forget everything and himself,
today is a day to not arrive.

Bluefin Tuna

Bluefin Tuna are listed as, endangered
because of illegal fishing, of global fish stocks
as eighty five percent, is unreported and unregulated
Overfishing of our oceans, has to be quickly eliminated

Bluefin are the largest tuna, and can live up to 40 years
and they migrate across oceans, and can dive 40 thousand feet
They are made for speed, and built like torpedoes
and have retractable fins, but they still end up in food tins

They are tremendous predators, that seek schools of fish
like herring, mackerel and even slippery eels
They have the sharpest vision, of any bony fish
but that doesn’t help, as they end up on a human dish

Premium MemberFeral

A feral predator
Imposing. The largest
Wild cat of them all
Untamed. Fierce. Stealthy
Ambush assassins on the prowl
Leaping onto prey
With lightning speed
Killing without mercy
Using its large canine teeth
To rip off a sizeable chunk
Of flesh, and to crush bones
This mammoth cat is no vegetarian
Using those razor-sharp retractable claws
To seize and hold an unfortunate prey
Ambush assassins on the prowl
Native to South Asia
This is also a maneater
This is the Bengal Tiger
A feral predator

Premium MemberRod's Spanner

I have some favorite tools I use,
Whenever I ply my trade,
From the hammer in my leather pouch,
To the retractable cutting blade.

I also love the spanners I have,
One metric, the other in inch,
When I use them to tighten to my car,
The small electric motor winch.

And the ratchet, socket and circular saw,
Displayed inside my shed,
I love these names said loud and proud,
From mallet to Phillips Head

And I use these tools every day,
I use the chisel, the grips, the wrench,
I love disappearing all the time,
By my old warn wood workbench.

Premium MemberGolden Disks and Whale Clicks

mind song riffs
joining the back beat
nature clicks
timpani
drums of black thunder
percuss
then the sky opens

a luminous landing
off gasses from the heat shield
rainbow across a spectrum of light

Cam’s Glieseian tongue flew over the
surface of the audio generator
Voyager’s golden disk long gone now
transposes across a film of galactic plasma
the taste of whale and bird song they tongue
enthralls them—though they had no notion of
whales or birds

mind song cascades, scrolls, behind the visitors opaque orbs
joining the back beat	nature clicks	woodpecker tunes
tympanic membranes shiver upon
	retractable body hair
drums of black thunder roll
past helmetless crowns
percussing their brain stems
	orgasmically
then the sky opens

Sol’s a black dwarf they are too late
but still the songs sang
Cam tongued the plasma film
once more then reentered interstellar
hibernation

Beware of These Monsters

When are we going to be free from these
Monsters?; when I think of them I hiss,
One attacks the skin, eye, blood and other parts,
Which has led to the deaths of many hearts,
Men in coats are working day and night for a cure,
The world prays, but this seems elusive for sure,
Then comes the second one that destroys the immune
Which has made the living and the dead to commune.
Men are now scared of ‘coitus lopus’ to stay alive,
The two work on the blood as they connive
to destroy youthful and vibrant life of men,
once you are grasped, is like be thrown into vampire’s den,
then comes the third one with virulent to kill,
His tongue is retractable like chameleon with death seal,
Fluid from the body keeps him alive and deadly,
Kills at a faster rate than the first two solely,
Keep your doors lock!,do not open, for they are here…
Beware!

Reminisce

Memories
Absorb like a sponge
Soaked up Space
Squeeze just right
Drips a smiling
Face

Memories
Liquid life
Poured through
A retractable screen
Characters revise roles
Of a movie
Already seen

Memories
Splash again
Across your eyes
Rain soaked
Laughter
Makes you cry

Premium MemberUncle Martin

This strange creature ascended to earth from the stars.
He came from our nearby planet neighbor called Mars.
Ordinarily, he looks much like you or me,
except that, he has retractable antennae.
Arrival on earth was quite fortunate for him.
He became acquainted with an earthman named Tim.
This alien has powers we can’t imagine.
Tim simply refers to him as “Uncle Martin”.
This is Tim’s secret nobody will ever know.
There are funny situations in every show.
