Premium MemberShe Never Had To Retract Her Words

She never had to retract her words
or her ideas
or her behaviors
or her opinions
or her attitudes

because she had been goaded and browbeaten into retracting herself

trained into submission by an expert seclude-her and abuser a long time ago

Retract - Back

On the road to something MORE
I was determined to walk,
Lost an imperative part of me
Now with an empty void, there is nothing left to talk

In the middle of the road
I had a skeptical thought,
Should I go back and try to figure it all out
But there is no way around me and I was left to rot.

Now after reaching the inevitable end?
Did I get what I wanted! Do you ask?
Well if regrets are the answer here
Then hell yeah I did it with a blast

But LIFE isn’t over yet
There are long battles to fight
Even If I’m all alone,
I’ll be just alright

Retract This Day

If we account
compulsion renders us
tame
A haze engulfs unwitting
thoughts
Of seers our mazy lives
tire

If we speak
our crude torment ensues
Corrected speech and
chains resume
Of grief a woven tale
will craft

If not
we must this day retract...

Retract Two Point Zero

I was out of my element

From my phone, the message was sent

On my door I see a deep dent

Hope all these are not permanent

Been having more misses than hits

I wasn’t sure but I called it quits

Now due to stress on my face, zits

Like a sweat soaked pig, wet armpits

I didn’t intend to let you go

‘Wanna hold on but it didn’t show

With that, I’ve reached my all time low

I’m in remorse, in deep sorrow

I wish I can undo the act

I want you back and that’s a fact

Let’s start again, renew the pact

My lame break-up line, I retract

Opposites Retract

The difference between bravery and stupidity is a wide chasm
One is true as all can see, yet the other is more like a spasm
One is felt from within the heart and is supported by the mind
The other comes from a different part and is followed by the blind

Bravery brings about one's tears just in the knowing of the act
So often met with loud cheers in the seeing of what we lacked
But stupidity has no cause and thus has no real meaning at all
As we all shouldn't take any pause in watching their great fall

Sometimes no matter how hard you try or write down to read
You can only sit there and sigh as they missed your best lead
But you must let stupid go in doing all that you can possibly do
It's the Holy Spirit that you know so thank God that it's not you

So many before thought they were brave only to find it not so
Now lying dead in their grave realizing they didn't really know
Yet all those brave shall rise just in the knowing of God's Glory
Trust me, it's not a surprise that you don't agree with His Story

...as darkness must retract from the Light.
