Respectable Poems

Premium MemberDear Respectable Enemies

Generous praises offered by friends might mislead sometimes.
Confusing the core of friendship is beyond their thought list.
It's when, like a broken gong, the church bell faultily chimes.
Even the age-old concept of Angelus gets a twist.

The lake's surface remains dull until a pebble troubles
And evokes ripples that awaken awareness within.
My lethargic potential in snug zones found no ruffles.
Till your suns and showers of censures manured me to win

As gems between coal, within your curses, blessings, I find
Each stone you throw at me is my stepping stone to success.
In your pessimism, my possibilities are enshrined.
With the hurdle poles you plant, I row my boat and progress.

Within the axis of existence, each foe is a friend.
As the benefaction he or she bestows has no end

respectable break
relaxed and refreshed
readily rejuvenated
responsible respite
reluctantly retiring
rapidly unwinding
relieved of day to day duties
reducing stagnation
ready for a well-earned hiatus
recall joy found during the last one

A Respectable Tree

The tree of my ritual was old and tall,
though not a true giant;
the next one may be, but needn't.
It possessed consequence in its bough
and the places around it,
which may have been occupied
for one of any number of reasons.
It was a fine tree, and my ritual was,
I hoped, appropriately reverent.
Respectful, yet uneasily godless,
my incantations whispered
with the light and gravity of the shade.
Hopeful, yet sorrowfully faithless,
my supplications revolved patiently
and drifted irreversibly into the air,
seeped deep beyond the bark,
sank into the soil and the root.
Godless as I was, I would not pass up
a fancy of random thought;
if it was a fancy of still unknown truth,
it would need nurture,
dutifully I would nurture.
Only such a tree could be worthy
of such faithless supplication.

Premium MemberRespectable Beagles

Widdle kiddles are the cutest and most adorable people
But growing up there's no telling if they'll turn out evil
It's the luck of the draw
Some say that's a flaw
But MOST wind up charming and respectable wee beagles

A person is doing well that is remarkable.
A person is doing well that is appreciable.
A person is doing hard that is arguable,
A person is doing hard that is charitable.

A person wants to do that is easy to eat,
A person wants to do that isn’t his defeat.
A person wants to do that is important,
A person wants to do that is understandable hint.

A person cares for them those are his benefit,
A person cares for them those makes a profit,
A person cares for them those have loving heart,
A person cares for them those have respectable part.

A person doesn’t like who are selfish,
A person doesn’t like who cares not dress,
A person doesn’t like who are in temper,
A person likes them who prefer to live simple.

It is very easy to condemn a person,
It is very easy to blame a person,
It is very easy to offer a replacement
It is very hard to work for betterment.
