Repel Poems | Examples

To Compel Is To Repel

Does it not the sight repel
Trying to others compel
Against their wish on a thing
And their ‘’No!’’ did loudly ring?

It can’t to Heaven propel
Deeds that could students expel;
For which phoned cops could one swing;
And one starts flaps of a wing!

Or can one the claim dispel
That mischief maker impels?

God knows that the best defense
Against every felt offence
Is that you’d sat on the fence
Not the counter you offer
Nor the hard blows you prefer.

Premium Member The Refractions of Life

The spoon appears shallower in a drink
The river appears shallower than it really is
Logics and facts are to be discovered
And man with his intelligence
Will repel
The many refractions of fallacies
Beteern man and science
Between man and man
In our lives

Before exploration, encounter ran its course
She wanted simplicity, he tended to soul search
Vixen and Mr. Marriage sprung from alternate reason
Ship containing contradiction was destined to lurch

Pledge of sledge hammer sex initially extended
Revoked by omnipresent insecurity
Prowling for night of abandon, unquenched lust driven
Met his wall built by fear, founded in obscurity

Decay of a dream, mismatched to hers, devoid of care
Love to a morphed charicature, - what motivation?
Superfluous term of submissive whimsy's windblown
Self worth held no place for emotional temptation

Rusted hinges swung between satisfied and longing
Chance to be susceptible to tenderness, renounced
By transient track spanning decades, independent
Her resilience rode solo strengths in endless amounts
