ABANDONING WAR FOR PEACE: A SCRIPTURAL PERSPECTIVE
Remember and be encouraged by the blessed scriptures:
“And let the peace that comes from Christ rule…your hearts.
For as members of one body, you are called to live in peace…”
Likewise, in thanksgiving prayer, also be forever inspired
In knowing “God blesses those who…[labor]...for peace,
For they will be called the…[blessed]...children of God.”
Every year, people of a humble community living in the 88th Street of Bangkulasi are gathered inside a church. And each year, eighty-eight candles are being litted by children with disability, kids with less than ten fingers and very few assisted kids with no natural fingers at all.
One purpose of lighting the candles is for Thanksgiving. And again on or before Christmas Day before the end of the year.
There are eighty-eight sticks in a standard piano -- 88 tones being played and heard by churchgoers, participants and volunteers as they sing the church hymns.
The eighty-eight litted candles can represent many other things, depending on how people see and interpret things around them.
One child asked the priest, "Of all numbers, why '88' ?"
IN READINESS FOR TODAY
Another day’s test.
Bring on the mess:
I’m at my God’s best:-
RAISED AND SQUARED WITH GOD
Laying parallel,
Pleased and thankful for today:-
Perpendicular:
Squaring my service to God,
With love labors to others:-
Orange fire-blazoned indigo sky
crackling the night’s desperate cry,
leaving the hot wind’s breath pursy.
Oh my sweet Lord, please have mercy.
Rising flames painted the dawn’s light,
no oasis, no ease in sight,
leaving the barren earth thirsty.
Oh my sweet Lord, please have mercy
Night fell with enflamed full moon.
Both flora and fauna fell swoon,
corporeal controversy.
Oh my sweet Lord, please have mercy.
Abundant water covered the night
granting reprieve from parching blight,
reviving life; bear gramercy.
Thank the sweet Lord for His mercy.

Novice shadows cross a molten Moon
Just to discover the rising Sun.
Varying hues of burgundy soon
Emerge and layer patterns that stun.
Marbled marquise clusters of low light,
Bejeweled stars ever fade away,
Evanescent, ethereal sight
Receding in the bright light of day.
Thanksgiving the holiday that marks
Harvest’s end with bountiful blessing.
Reverently thank God with remarks
inviting His goodness expressing.
Life is sustained throughout harsh Winter.
Long nights await Spring to re-enter.
YOUR DAILY AGENDA
What's on your agenda for today
Before you begin, will you take time to pray
To thank God, the Creator, for a restful night
An that He allowed you to see dawn's early light
He's waiting for you with arms open wide
Don't miss this opportunity because of your pride
The pride that you want to get a lot done
And forget that God gave the life of His Son
The Son who died to save you from sin
Have you opened your heart to let Him come in
If not, take a look at what you possess
Then thank the Lord that you are so Blessed
Now get your day started with praise and thanksgiving
And don't forget to thank Him that you are still living
To spend this day in the presence of God
Knowing you've been where angels have trod

The Gift
Lord, hear my prayer... You have handed me the precious gift of salvation. In my unworthiness you have heard my plea and brought joy to your errant child. Lord, hear my prayer of thanksgiving for the many blessings you have showered on this, your child in need of direction. Oh Lord, hear my prayer. I pray you will use discipline, not punishment, in correcting my path…. Lord, hear my prayer. When mercy is called for, I pray you will let grace abound in your judgment. Lord, draw me close and let me feel your love….. Oh Lord, hear my prayer….. Amen

I have been going to Church..
To praise and worship not to search..
I love to sing for the Lord.
For He alone, I adore..
He alone can give me more..
For I trust, my heart He'll never tore..
I live with the great faith..
All along has keep me safe..
Through His Son found by the hay..
All glory and honor, I'll pray..
