Anxiously he waits for his wife
She was supposed to be home at five
He needs to teach her a lesson
He knows she will after this session
five minutes later, she opens the door
Without greeting he hits her to the floor
He promises tonight he will give her a hiding
Never mind the pleading
He beats her face to a pulp
Bleeding from the scalp
He shows no sign of stopping
and she cannot stop sobbing
He starts kicking her
She is full of fear
She tries to get up
She slips in her own blood
All afternoon he had been drinking
Beating her without blinking
Eventually he relents
Now he can boast to his friends.
He is the boss in his house
A complete madhouse
The sad part is she does not report him
He sits on the couch and hums a hymn.

As the Earth’s Southern Pole is pushed farthest
Away from sun, Winter Solstice arrives.
The sleepy sun's up-time is, the shortest
It's been all this year, shortchanging our lives.
Sol has its sway and makes the shortest day.
Daylight dwindles to a feeble short glow,
The sun, embarrassed, hides its face away.
Knowing it's failed to deliver its show.
Though darkness still prevails, its hold will wane.
Sol relents, pays the rent, stays up longer.
With the extra sunshine, life will regain
Its vibrancy, springing back, growing stronger.
From now on, every day will be longer.
We can linger longer in the sunshine.
Bathing in the warm rays that grow stronger,
Until the Summer Solstice, brings decline.

Thin ice forgives the cold
Slowly relents its hold
As ripples shake its grasp
A shimmering of diamonds pass
A gentle sunny warmth
Mists dancing in the swamp
Spring sun will claim the day
Nothing cold can stay

To say hello to spring
Winter relents in time,
Grey goes green, smiles gream grime,
Nature knows— not to cling.
Seasons change on their own
And wait not till too late
To kiss change on due date,
All things change, even stone.
But man seems stuck sans clue,
Feels frozen facing change,
Red nor green, but orange!
He who once walked on two
From all four, far to see
As ape— his greatest feat,
Yet, somewhere lost his wit,
Opting purblind to be.
In saying no to change,
An existential threat
That might wipe out his fate,
Back to times of Stonehenge!

Poet’s note: In evolutionary race when man was not yet a *****Sapiens, he showed an exemplary foresight to steer himself ahead of all life forms, on top of pyramid to be, and never to look back ever since— the time he, as an ape, decided to walk on his rear two legs. But today it seems he chooses to be purblind, refusing to see the threat to his existence. This piece wonders if man is on his way back to Stonehenge.

You wish to bring off an event?
Then,find cause to something invent:
More hours for thoughts in your tent;
An ambitious back fully bent,
On which stale sweat break out as scent.
You long to kick-start an event?
A dazzling idea loosest vent:
No stories of ideals not meant,
Excuses of money not sent;
Some admirer's heart might be rent,
Ears to your grand enterprise lent...
Unless no plans to hatch events,
One makes sure one scarcely relents.

Heart always tries
Hate always lies
Fear complies
Conundrum tears
fall midstream
Rationalization relents
Reason wins out
Confidence returns
Loss is gain
Less is more
Patterns lost
A better life ensues
Moments of abiding
Consciousness complete
Emptiness explained
Spiritual sailing
Means justify ends
Lie, Death we walk as one
We trip the Black hole together

Hastily stretched, crackled urgent ocean edge relents
Ashamed attempt to escape rejoins campaign of mass
Furtive dig below propels conspirator spasm, next next
Murders brash bouys, cranky spa champagne embrace
Swum undulations, bare back mermaid's dips resurface
Her furvour ploughs halobiont plenty scape, nourished
Snapped lobster lavishly celebrates bountiful turquoise
Sway gaze brazen by bobbing safe island encouraged
Crill swirl sweeps dripped lips, sun baked rock decreed
Beacon mound majesty painted daily in sea gull exhalt
Coconut snow flakes sparkle on cockle clamour bleed
Wave blown eroding scales slow exhales evaporate salt
Ripe globes ground reaped glug nectar so gluttonous

An empty space,filled by light
brings simplicity to life,
the empty heart,fills with pain,
cries out why,again,again,
and still the emptiness remains;
Simplicity forgotten
in complexity will drown,
darkness overwhelms the mind,
despair see nought,with eyes blind;
light fills up the empty space
and illumes the vacant place,
hope blots out disappointment
as our emptiness relents.
Singularity brings forth clarity
on which imagination then flies free.

And Yes Tis The Glory Of Spring We So Adore
And yes tis the glory of Spring we so adore
When cold weather relents, better temps we implore
As vibrant colors emerge, our hearts begin to sing
Nature then casts so sweetly its finest of rings
A most vibrant compelling step into our lives
One which in its great beauty a soul gladly dives.
Mother earth dances forth its welcoming new songs
With renewed powers rights winter's harshest of wrongs
Creating to our delight that rich, verdant green
Sun and sky join to radiant resplendent sheen
Mankind can then surge out to enjoy Nature's best
As we may seek new romance at our heart's behest.
And yes tis the glory of Spring we so adore
When cold weather relents, better temps we implore
As vibrant colors emerge, our hearts begin to sing
Nature then casts so sweetly its finest of rings.

Mother's devotion, such as life, cannot be represented.
Observe her unyielding fine fortune and deep devotion.
That being a mother means the heart is no longer yours.
Heaven is inside each of us, mothers created to raise our infants.
Every mother of her heritage, no one can acquire her place.
Real mother Love is irrefutable, unfazed by-laws, free of pity.
It never relents or betrays anything that stands in its way.
So, if you're a gift from Heaven, how can I renounce him?
And what do I convey to you, mother, my heart or my eyes?
My soul, my blood, or my hope, you are its meaning.
And, mom, what do I recall? There's nothing to be forgotten.
Zeals I remember from youth, but your smile elicits my groans.
I miss you badly; you're gone, but your love lives within me.
Nurtured from you, mom, all the magnificence goodness of life.
God bless all our mothers for their love, altruism, and sacrifice.

A simple physical breath recitation
For we cannot yet call it meditation
Gently inhaling we pause at the heart
Likewise pause at crown when breath departs
Breathing thus with pause of cessation
Thoughts may come & go as of ego suggestion
We gradually lengthen the practice duration
Flow of breath regardless of thought agitation
Simply positioning attention during the voids
Alternating at heart & crown therein buoyed
What happens thus is assigning priority
Getting to the divine in stuporous simplicity
By merely performing an exercise in lengthening time
Until the divine relents and we we hear the chime
Within
Footnote:
Such is the exposition
But there is no imposition
Possibly it may not resonate
Unless thought rested we meditate
We may then thus tweak what is written
Like a spirited horse not do as bidden
Adding to this doing our own colouration
Of love seeking love via breath meditation
Why not?

We're born humble.
Our bones and hearts
are filled with stardust.
Children of the heavens they say...
Life is about eating soil
(hectares of it).
Soil beneath our nails and teeth
Seeds growing into the bloom of being.
Nourished by tears with some laughter in between.
Humble lost in the violent stream of living.
At the end when our bones are bent
and the stardust spills... the heart relents.
The soul unchained.
Sifting through scream less clouds
into the jeweled stream of eternity -
Heavenly humble once again.
