Premium MemberThe Death of Us, raw emotions lyrics

I drove because I hated me.
I drove because I didn’t understand.
I drove because I am a loser.
I lost.

What did I lose?
The best timeline I could ever have.
Happiness,
Purpose,
A reason.

What did I gain?
Loneliness,
Sadness,
Grief,
Pain.

White for the innocence I left behind,
Pink for admiration, for gratitude in kind.
Red for the passion I buried alive,
Purple, the sun’s crown, her colors survive.
Dianthus

Premium MemberTaming of the Raw

Most everyone falls in love with raw and beautiful
whether it be a raspy woman or haunted forest.
We free fall because they're untamed and indifferent.
Bathed in shades of Vincent Green or Pablo blue.

The sable nature of a man is to tame wild things
the very things that made them unique and free.
We are greedy-want it all for

Drowning in Sorrow

I’m so tired of spendin’ nights alone

The test of time has left me like a stone

Drinkin’ time—I feel it in my bones

Feel so numb, I can’t pick up the phone

Drownin’ in sorrow, can’t find my way

Lost in the darkness, day after day

Tears fill my eyes as I silently pray

For a glimmer of hope to guide

Premium MemberMy Raw Inner Echo

In the late 2018 to early 2019
Epic perhaps, there was a missed opportunity?
From a challenge contest to pen another poem
But this is stuff that men say in an asylum

At the time my ideas were a jumble of mess
Could this be part of a hero's quest?

The lame duck state governor was speaking on campus
An acquaintance shared

    Electricity crackles in the air
    roller-coaster careening
off its track as silver trumpets blare

Gangs teem and thrive in jungles

reality check

i look in the mirror
but i don’t see me
i see a clearer version
of someone people want me to be

i view them as fake
while im the one trying to take
their son by
dressing different
acting different
just so i can be liked

while, in reality—
do i even like myself?
if i’m doing all this
just to get a goodnight kiss
is my soulmate

Him

I caught his gaze
Raking every inch of my body
Creating a mental trail
For his tongue to follow.
He has no clue
How much i adore his lusty eyes
When they meet mine,
But what follows
Is still raw and raunchy
Only in my imagination.

What If He Says That to Our Daughter

-In the dead of night, when the world is silent, her whispers haunt the shadows of my mind.

“Daddy, I’m so tired… I don’t want to be here anymore.”
Her small voice, trembling like a ghost, echoes in my heart — a chilling reminder of the fragile life we’re trying to hold together.

Late at night,
when silence drapes

Raw Red

Raw? Depends on what you saw.
Disaster? From jaw.
Who's the master? Real or raw?
Melee, mighty, maw...

Peoples of the ocean blue?
Vehicles to ride?
What exactly do we do?
Heaven and Hell, hide?

Tide of all tomorrows!
I requite you each!
Surcease of our sorrows?
It must be in our reach!

Peaches grow in gardens?
An orchard is the place.
Wolverines dwell deep in dens!
Rage lurks on

Premium MemberThe Power of Raw Vegetables

Recently my nutritionist – a health
freak if ever there was one – suggested
I eat raw vegetables like cabbage, kale,
asparagus, brussel sprouts, cauliflower
and broccoli, all of the cruciferous family,
all packed with vital antioxidants,
vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals
and fibre, (relieving weekly straining
bouts of constipation.) As for results
he assured me with an assured smile
I’d be stronger

Never Raw

My wife likes eggs fried medium,
then all mashed up and mangled.
Until they are mixed together,
but not actually scrambled.

Me, I want the yolks still runny,
so I can sop it up with my toast.
But any way you want to cook them,
is the way I like them the most.

Raw Obsessions

The penchant of a national leader.
can show malignancy in things he says;
things for which his mind needs a proof-reader.
Some tempers malign as rivals start to quiz
Views have drawn the cancer, cacoethes.

A writer’s mania – cacoethes scribendi -
appears when terrorists write a manifesto.
Do over-engaged minds stage what’s trendy?
obsessive was the groove of the fluent

Premium MemberWhen Scars Take Flight

The caterpillar never prayed—
it coiled around the bark,
turned aside the whimpers of wings a-flutter,
and created a moat of silence.

Promises? It made none—
to itself or to the universe.
Transformation was not a melody or a plea,
just the still rebellion of survival.

As the chrysalis cracked open,
it wasn’t a triumph. It bore no grace.
It was escape—raw, fierce,
and unapologetically its

Li Po Eating Raw Oysters, Drinking Wine

Beneath the moon's pale gleam, I sit alone,
The sea's cool breath weaving through my robes.
Upon my lips, the ocean's secrets flow—
Each oyster a pearl of the world untold.

Their brine whispers of the tides' long song,
Of ships lost, of lovers waiting in vain.
A sip of wine softens the sea's harsh kiss,
Its fire dancing where salt once
