Who mocks at whom

Magpies musing to get money,
Mock at misers sans magnanimity.
Lands laugh at those that wend
Their way mumbling: my land, my land.
Lover, at the lady-love’s spouse,
Proud, playing with the love-child in his house.
Death scorns, laughing aloud
At the battle-scarred king in shroud.

The last wish

In November's chill on Rana Mohal's lane,
She showed me a shawl, dreams to attain,
Her last wish lingered, a poignant refrain,
But with 125 rupees, my hands feel restrained.

COVID's cruel grasp in GMC Doda's embrace,
Snatched her away, leaving an empty space,
Two cherished shirts I sold with a heavy heart,
To honor her wish, a fragile start.

Wrapped in that shawl, morning's pale light,
Clings to my half-dead soul's fading sight,
I breathe, yet the question echoes, unkind,
Why persist in this world, a heart confined?

Her love lingers, a tranquil sleep's embrace,
But my nights echo, devoid of solace or grace,
No one to rouse, no gentle voice to say,
"Kya kar ra ho?" in each lonely day.

I exist in the shadows of memories past,
Aching to make each moment last,
Yet her absence weighs, a burden I bear,
In a world devoid of her tender care.

In this solitary existence, I strive to survive,
Aching heart, wounded, yet somehow alive,
But in every breath, in each moment's glow,
I carry her wish, her love, her enduring glow.

Packing Up Her Trunk

In Argentina, Mara
Lived a sad and lonely life,
Crowded with unfriendly roommates,
Twenty years of constant strife.

She’s an elephant from Asia
Who was stuck inside a zoo
But the powers-that-be decided
There was something they could do.

So they took her on a road trip,
Days and many miles away,
To a sanctuary in Brazil
Where she could safely stay.

Now she’s found a friend in Rana
And they’ve formed a touching bond.
It’s a tale like Cinderella,
Altered by a magic wand.

In the midst of a pandemic
It’s uplifting just to hear
Of the type of happy ending
That I feared would disappear.

The Great Maharana

Maharana was great,he has patriotic spirit,
When he was a child,he was brave , desperate
He knows all weapon's he has played with thems,
He was different from all of children's.
All enemy's scared of him, hides like silly cricket.

 when he was growing up,
. he wants to buy a horse,
who is mighty and running fast,
somebody come to sale him two horses,
. He wants to test both forces ,
. Ones able to run faster than air,
second have power to jump higher,
but maharana pratap never be unfair,
he has test the honesty of both horces,
he fixed there lags under of earth,
for testing who's worth,
he calls both horses with name,
 help me chatak help viren.
the frist horse not trying to come out for him ,
but chatak jumps like he has wings ,
rana choose chatak for lifetime ride,
maharana and chatak is our pride.

maharana and chatak have a strong friendship,
because both of them have patriotic spirit.

What I Saw At the Lake

What I Saw at the Lake

By Elton Camp

Down at the lake, there was nobody around
Except those of nature, there wasn’t a sound

I saw her lying there, legs thrust back
Of any clothing there was a total lack

Her eyes were open & she looked my way
Although not a single word she did say

She was breathing through her nostrils flared
And didn’t act at all embarrassed or scared

Her legs were muscular and entirely bare
So at her I seemed just compelled to stare

I’d never seen skin nearly as smooth as that
It was an impressive sight for one to arrive at

The warm sun she seemed to be taking in
I’ve not seen that before & might not again

I hoped that she wouldn’t do anything rash
But into the water she went with a splash

I waited wondering if I’d see her anymore
Most especially just lying there as before

The frog had disappeared to whence she came
I later learned that Rana catesbeiana is her name
