Rainfalls Poems

Premium MemberWhat Makes Me Smile

Greeted by the sound of the ocean all sadness eases away
as I skim the surface of a smile, I suddenly make headway
Showered by rainfalls I am filled with the scent of petrichor
I smile, at the thought that God has cleansed me to the core;

Connected to a Higher Power I am an exquisite human being
smiling for a thousand reasons that only I can totally illumine
Invented out of dust I have become the beating heart of love
and I have a million reasons to smile un-mentioned there of

Loved by many understood by few, I am the twinkle of a star
I smile cuz deep inside I know there is nothing that can mar
Abled and armed with compassion and passion I am strong
I smile because I know I am, the breath of everything I am

What makes me smile is the thought that I am never alone
I have Angels at my side, that I don't need to call or phone
In a heartbeat they are there right beside me everywhere
in sickness or in health I know His Love is always, there !

My Desert Cassia

Among the shadows of the night

I hear your footsteps

the scent of jasmine

on your henna-dyed hair.

I remember how you looked then

as I ponder upon twilight summers

two hearts engaged with passion

underneath light rainfalls.

Beauty is her essence

dreamless, floating on crimson tides

I touch her tresses

composed perfectly, accentuating her eyes

The curves of your thighs

like jewels touched by sunlight

exotic, held captive- intrigued

by this Desert Cassia.

Mountains, and forest, but wetlands, favored,
but what do they know, they're just their pinups.
The whole South to Arizona's, bordered ...
trees and boulders serve their choice of hole-ups.
Cracker Butterflies, wings flapping sounds named,
be protecting domains or mating calls.
Speckled species ruse camouflaged proclaimed,
hangout mid-afternoon, ... plus, if rainfalls.
Twenty of their kind, perched heights notes which kind.
Birds are the death of them, ... Jacamars, lead,
--shared realms. Defense-like poison is defined
as pointless, hence, disguised tactics succeed.
Diet: fruit rot, dung, and tree sap-sweet gum.
Placement perched will measure the life of them.

Premium MemberI'M, We'Re, Growing

I am, as were my parents before me,
undoubtedly, their parents before them...
perpetuating our family tree.

Trusting in God, and Jesus Christ is key
to their faith, as well as my own, Amen!
I am, as were my parents before me.

The Word leads us beyond reality,
together in Grace, despite the mayhem,
perpetuating our family tree.

"What's what?", "The what's/' are not," and, "('s) is," would be
from whence my life had grown from a tree's stem--
I am, as were my parents before me.

Saints behold, Heaven on Earth, all set free.
Caught amidst thistles, the Shepherd unjam,
perpetuating our family tree.

Faithful prayers transcend miracles daily,
rainfalls on forest' ... gift grows to a gem.
I am, as were my parents before me,
perpetuating our family tree.

Icebergs in the Antarctic and Arctic are menacingly melting,
Mud slides, freezing Winters, summers are sweltering,
Oceans are encroaching, drowning Earth,
Rainfalls severe across its girth and dearth,
End of humanity, a dire situation globally threatening.

Silent Reverence

Dark clouds rise high, gathering overhead
a throng of gods sit in their silent,
mysteries.

A black funeral pyre…

Darkly shedding tears,
rainfalls cold, drifts down alone
divinities flock to this eternal passing
like raven at black masses
They sit in silent judgment of what was and will be.

A lone figure stands on a hill under a willow tree,
silhouetted in severe slate of evening,
tears fall silently passing as discarded memories!

Of what was and will be
Echoes linger like fading imagery
of youth in memory washed away history…

The silhouettes of lives out loud
a gentle sigh
a tear falls from shadows
as everything dies.

Histories sovereign winds wash all my misery,
mysteries and mercies away
and only the gathering
clouds like divinities can understand
the silence…the reverence!

Of tears…

As a figure stands there, in hush reverence
for what was and will be!

Harmony Once More

"harmony once more"

souls are fractured leaving angels to journey
journey to places of darkness and beyond
will the spirit within return completely whole
whole to life awakening back as a butterfly

silently the fallen carry on with such burdens
burdens of faint and diminished eyes and ears

rainfalls drop as the sky moves with softness
softness to reach minds for harmony once more
strengths push way for light and life to endure
endure for a pulse and peace to beat forevermore

Mystery of Love

Firecrackers bursting tare,
New years, new tear...

Burst the durst,
Accurst in an outburst,

Rainfalls witnessing the tough times,
Outfalls are the rough mistimes...

A go to his ego,
Forego the flamingo,

Bye to a lovely lover, my heart...
Eyes are gravely over, my harte...

Broom, a bloom in his room,
Groom, a doom in his darkroom...

Premium MemberThe Promise of a Poet's Cat

^*^

The companion cat is quite poetical.
          Soft a bunny~ with whiskers,
          delightfully comical.

Kissing me as I attempt to pen!
          Dancing on my keyboard like
          a drunken hen!

You get me centered each day,
Irene, dearest cat in every way.
          We watch sunrises and rainfalls
          together.

You calico dream, in all my poetical
          endeavors!
May I love you~ in all our days
          together!

And may in time, in Heaven meet,
         To walk eternally together on
          God's most auspicious streets!

The Kiss

That kiss is still moving,

lips pursed, migrating in time
until my own lips pucker
sensing bubblegum lipstick.

That unseasoned taste of young lips

now wayfaring and rekindled
within a hundred mature women.

Landfalls, rainfalls, waterfalls,

all that falling into willing mouths
as if we were parents to each other,
a consuming need
to nurture and be nurtured.

Then those savage collisions

where blood is the thirst,
where lip to lip, fevered senses
are ground into ash or embers.

All those lips perfumed with honey,

bitter root and raw moonshine,
all exploring ways to drown.

That first sweet kiss

still moving on, as a question
in transit, transient, yet as deep
as a desert succulent
or as light
     as any other wild flowering.

First Kiss

That kiss is still moving
lips pursed not knowing how to open yet
bud to bud.
Then off to the end of my life it moves on
blossoming into a hundred shapes
landfall, rainfalls, waterfalls:
beneath the soft flutter, the fierce hunger
that first kiss still in transit,
basking in teardrops, drowning in its own blood.
Perfumed with honey and bitter root,
adoring blindly, exploring, always delving deeper
dipping ever into the mouths
of a still transmigratory love.

The Brooding Storm

Dark black ominous clouds move slowly across the mortal sphere.
A promising downpour threatens the unrest souls.
Thunderous voices of indigenous cultural split the mortal sphere.
This brooding storm, created from fallacies that suffocated the truth.
Forceful winds of propaganda demoralize the virtuous.
Fierce lighting reveals the shamelessness of the dark heart.
What seems to matter will matter no more, once the crimson rainfalls and
swell the rivers and seas and stain the shores.
Soon will be done the troubles of this world.

Premium MemberListening Lights-

Listening the lights
the shine ever bright
the darkness flees in seconds

Tragedies are celebration
of altered realities saddened
Gatherings are abundant of individuals

Listening lights
Darkness walks
Sunset sleeps

the light passes by
Rainfalls on your face
making tears in your eyes
Listening lights

So you laugh instead of cry
You live instead of die
He walked you run you trip, you fall
Listening lights

You stands strong you jump to fly away far
Darkness falls as the light calls
