Is It Too Late

Icebergs in the Antarctic and Arctic are menacingly melting, Mud slides, freezing Winters, summers are sweltering, Oceans are encroaching, drowning Earth, Rainfalls severe across its girth and dearth, End of humanity, a dire situation globally threatening.

Good Morning Jennifer. Hi. I'm so sorry it has taken me a long time since I turned to your page. Truly. Your entry here is something I think we all think about from time to time. I would like to think that it isn't to late but no one knows but God. I will just say this. We as people have to do our best to uphold what we have and what was given to us. Thank you for sharing your message and your poetic talent. May this day find you well. Blessings now and always. (smile)

Timely warning. Or dire update. ThanX Sis Jenn. Your compatriot in Eastern Cape where loadshedding destroys our tower/ cellphone connectivity. With MTN, I wait days or a week, in reestablishing link. Shalom shalom & Eireene. Anil

The Jury is still out Jennifer. We are feeling the wrath of nature here at moment. We are ok in Wainuiomata Lower Hutt. Also our son in Auckland not areas evacuated. There was earthquake earlier which we felt but no damage here but not sure about elsewhere. Best regards David in NZ

It's a terrifying thought, but we are headed straight there; after we've destroyed everything and everyone else on the planet, ultimately we will destroy ourselves, as well. A wise warning.

You’ve captured the imagery quite nicely! I went to the same Alaska glacier twice…we crunched our way for quite a while with crampons to make our way to the glacier, the second time! The melting evident.

Well said Jennifer, it may be too late to save the planet because of those who couldn’t care less and leave it to someone else to clear up their mess. Belle xx

I do not believe all this and yes the planet goes thru changes but not to the scare tactics they are using. We do have problems and yes we need solutions but the manipulation used just makes me upset. love phyl

Good question, Jennifer, yes one big meteorite and we'll all be gone. I've got my space ship in the back garden, ready. I believe the planet as undergone many changes like we are experiencing today, only this change a little different with the human element and its industrious ways. But i believe someone, maybe not born yet will leave us all out of the doom and gloom. But what we have today makes for excellent poetry. I do like your limerick. Hope you are well my friend...Harry

Dearest Jennifer, my lovely poetry/soul sister, your enlightened pen spills with environmental concerns that should alarm one and all. We each have a vested interest in keeping our planet healthy yet where is the action to do so. We are miserably failing the future generations by saddling them with a failing planet.. I sincerely hope it's not too late. Your amazing poem resonates strongly with me, my sweet friend. I hope all is well with you and your wonderful family. Warmest wishes, love and hugs sent across the many miles to find you.. ~Susan

Good morning, Jenny! As your eye-opening poem indicates, the situation is a most worrying one, but it's not too late to stop the rot, as long as world leaders and every individual do their part. ~ Warm regards & Hugs, my friend // paul

yes, many dire things happening, but to me the encroachment of communism onto the entire world is the biggest concern for me. Good one, Jennifer.

Hi Jennifer, I think we are all hoping the same thing, that it's not too late. I totally agree with Mike on the fact that corporate greed and a cavalier attitude toward are planet and it's vulnerability are the root causes of global warming. I try to give what little I have to Environmental groups and pray.

I hope it not too late Jennifer! I feel that we human are apparently so ungrateful for the gifts bestowed and that greed seems to rule! Despite this, I hope you have a Happy Saturday!!

The earth is on a path which is described in the Bible in The Book of Revelations. We don't know when only God knows when all these things will come to pass, but one thing for sure Jesus is going to call His church home before it gets very bad and before the antichrist is reveled. Sara

It is alarming. We can only do what we can, and hope others take responsibility as well.

It's sad, so many are in denial of climate change. while it's true that the earth does change periodically, the rate of increasing sensitivities and allergies in people should prove that something is wrong in our environment. Well worded truth.

There are so many excuses! Science will fix it. (So FUND it!) God will fix it. (I'm not sure history supports that.) God won't fix it so it will be the marvelous End of Days! (Yeah, we've had that forecast a few times. Kool Aid anyone?) It must be okay; the newscaster is still smiling! Thank you, Jennifer, for your skilful poem. Poets arise!! Elizabeth
