Let The Flowers Grow Again

Smiles of roses in our garden wither,
As the wings of our love mid-air dither,
Our songs are sung without their melody,
We live our lives in black and white,

Our love's colours stolen by the rainbow,
With our cloudy skies missing the stars' glow,
Rather our lean cheeks bear the pool of tears,
Enough to form two times the Pacific.

Though the petals of our roses are dry,
Our favours are like showers from the sky,
So our love can bloom like roses again,
Our hearts are the loam for love's tender roots.

Let's wait for the rain showers once again,
For bees to dance on roses in the rain,
And our hearts shall swim in love's flooding brook,
So as to bring back joy to our garden.

The Wanderer

There is a place he knows of rest
it is a place in wooded mist
and days of wandering in sorrow ways
his broken heart returns this day

she's waiting weeping by the door
and cries his name her silent call
her voice of whispers through tower of tree's
like soft cloud leaves upon the breeze

there's gentle rain on steps through out
but in her stillness she'll chase his pain about
because her love soothes rivers lost
and melts the early Winters frost

and then he see's her on rising sun
as rustled leaves, the day begun
he holds his breathe, no more is alone
he knows she's there.... he knows he's home.

Loneliness

Looking over my northern shoulder
at the changing shades of day
a weak winter sun turning twilight grey
teardrops of rain on the window
the gentle sigh of the wind
storm clouds in the evening sky
bring it all back again
poring over unwritten letters
in the solitude of night
a dim lit candle shining star white light
telephone silent unanswered
candlelight quietly dimmed
unwritten letters to no one
start it all over again
I don't want to be lonely
for the rest of my life
and if I love you only
will you stay by my side

It's raining

Her big beautiful eyes were piercing me up and close
Her playful smile playing all over, vainly trying to prepare me
But, as always, in a trance I lay, heart pounding, mind blanked out.
Completely unaware of everything, except her unabashedly gorgeous presence.
Moments passed, without a word, without an act
Didn't know it was that typical lull before the storm
And then it stormed down, here, there and everywhere
Voluptuous kisses, first gently in isolation and then unending showers.
Me taken completely by surprise, pinned, breathless, overwhelmed.
But, at the same time, enjoying the wildness, the ecstasy, the euphoria.
To get drenched in the first flush of rain, I guess, is always memorable.
'It's raining!' my little one exclaims, and I nod, struggling to look out.

Adoritrix

Serried spirits walk on the wind

Paratrooper raindrops collecting courage before descent

Drunk off your paints, tasting life in your landscape

Heart ablaze, my fantasies have been conquered

Village pillaged by an army of one

Glimmer of my eye tucked in by evening sun

Assigned to your omphalos, war drums curvet

At your touch, I evaporate into song

Polyphonic acme

Summer Rains

The summer rains they came today
washing winter woes away
seems so long since they were here
welcome back old friend to near and dear
memories awakened from the sky
with the petrichor of years gone by
precipitating dreams of lazy days
illuminating sunbeams in a haze
which full-circle brought me back to you
and the fun things we used to do
walking on weekends in the park
looking like bookends on a bench after dark
sun-drenched rain-soaked anyhow
but where in the world are we now

No Umbrella In The Rain

No Umbrella In The Rain
All save all of your smiles.
 Together, walk a long mile.
 Your smiles in the rain.
 Wethink the same.
 Never in a hurry.
 My eyes are blurry.
 You walked in my path.
 Dreams, our journey will last.
 No umbrella or shade.
 You're radiant everyday.
The one I can’t live without.
Hold your heart in a music box.
 Songs we can dance to.
Leisure in the rain, I’m dazzled.
 You walked in my shoes.
We need each other to get through.
You held me up in the dark.
 Sentimental, hugs are true.

Premium MemberPurple Rain

Silver sentiments of loves joys and pain
Everything to loose everything to gain
Violet voice shakes when you call my name
Red heart waits in the purple rain

Hands they read what eyes can’t see
Braille book pleads come back to me
Nothing in the world entices to eat
Your passion is the only thing that feeds

Purple rain dance drives insane
Lovely romantic energy that drains
Nothing to lose everything to gain
The roses are renewed the blues aren’t the same

Looked at a photo from a year ago
Now that I’m solo feel so old
You have a smile flys me like plane
Come back to me now kiss me in the purple rain

Purple rain dance drives me insane
Amethyst heart cries out in pain
Brain that sparks calling your name
Life is tart till I see you again

Premium MemberRain Dance

Walking hand in hand,
towards a future unknown.
Encouragement and doubt,
things we’re being shown.

My accomplice in this world,
my forever always friend.
We’re dancing in the rain now,
hoping this will never end.

Come, hold me close to you,
keep me forever in your heart.
The rain beating harder now,
we’re so close, yet so far apart.

Damp skin against mine,
hot breath against my cheek.
Your eyes say you love me,
my strength grows so weak.

Please don’t say goodbye,
keep holding me in your arms.
 Hold tight to the passion,
and let our love drive away the storms.

Unspoken Dance

In the schoolyard rain, you danced with delight,
A vision of joy in silver twilight.
From the bus window, I watched you leap,
Fearing to be judged as a creep.

Wanting to run, enjoy with you,
Once again terrified to screw.
Years passed, still the heart aches,
Why does this memory stays?

Drops on the glass were my tears,
Couldn’t approach even after so nears.
The bus engine lurched to life, a reluctant retreat,
Your figure grew smaller, the moment bittersweet.

Wishing to see you, once again in the rain,
But I know it’s all in vain.

The Girl with the Red Umbrella

Your crimson umbrella burns like fire,
You passed me by with a gentle smile.
I turned around and stopped as if dire,
Amazed by your beauty for just a while.

I'm still standing there, lost in sadness,
My body feels not a drop of rain.
Perhaps I've encountered great happiness,
Or perhaps I've stumbled upon great pain.

Like unconscious wanderers on the road,
I'm trapped in the web of imagination.
Not even an umbrella could I become,
For join her life and her celebration.

I Miss You

I miss you
like the parched earth thirsts for the rain
I miss you
like the nightingale's song heralds the coming of spring
I miss you
like the night birds wait for the darkness to fall
I miss you
like a warm campfire on a chilly wintry night
I miss you
like the sunshine on a damp cloudy day
I miss you
infinitely in every possible way
Do you miss me like I do?

Premium MemberOur September in the Rain

       Strolling softly, in September rains,
       beneath a bright, plaid umbrella.
A tender couple strolled in joyous love,
he indeed, her dear, sensuous ‘fella.
Listen now, to the tender raindrops,
singing such sweet notes, a cappella!

Rain

As i breathe the scent of rain,

I let go a sigh of my pain,

Droplets creating a melody,

Enclosed in nature’s remedy,

Soothing my skin is cold breeze,

Elated nature is a tease,

This moment sky is feeling blue and grey,

Delightful are the soul’s astray,

Love seeks warm embrace,

Sorrow leans to find grace,

Hidden mist in surrounding,

Oh! That’s a mystery astonishing,

Hope peeping through the end,

Oh rain, you made the dawn rise again.

Premium MemberRaindrops

The days when I played in them
Not listening to any words from mom.
Cherishing each drop falling on me
Feeling as though a sparrow is free
Sloshing, sploshing, and splashing
Amidst lightning flashing
Puzzling over the bubbles
Formed over the puddles
The tentative rainbows on them
Shining like the Kohinoor gem
Counting them as though stars
Or scattered pearls of Mars
Trying to collect them gladly
Seeing them break, sadly
Going on, thus, till the drops
Each last one, finally stops.
I nostalgically think of those days.
My heart beams with romantic rays.
Will they come back anymore?
This question quakes my heart's core...
